Broadstairs has been voted "THE BEST SEASIDE TOWN" in the South East to visit!

The cottage is within easy reach of several Blue Flag beaches, local shops, restaurants and wine bars. It is tucked away in an idyllic courtyard yet still close to all the amenities Broadstairs has to offer. The perfect bolthole for a wonderful holiday!

This property is within easy access to the beach, local shops, restaurants, bistros & wine bars which all are only a minutes' walk away.

The cottage was built in 1640 & has the added attraction of ships timbers & beamed ceilings throughout & like the other Fishermen’s Cottages, as you enter you get the feeling of stepping back in time where the men made their living from fishing or smuggling.

This unique cottage offers 2 bedrooms, and can comfortably sleep 4 people.

The main bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has a double bed, both have quality bed linen.

You will also find a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and seating for 4 persons.

The lounge has faux leather sofa's, a television with DVD and WI-FI is included.

The bathroom has a bath and shower which completes the accommodation.

Outside there is a courtyard garden with patio table and chairs.

The garden is secure and child friendly, allowing you to sit back and enjoy the sunshine, with a glass of wine.

Why This Property?

Steeped in history this cottage was built in 1680 and was used by the smugglers, there is still the secret door in the lounge that they used to escape from the custom officers. Parts of this cottage are built out of chalk blocks carved out of the local cliffs with flint and old oak ships timbers, really anything they could find on the beach.

This cottage is situated in the best location nice and quite and just a stone throw from Viking Bay and it's golden sandy beach, you could not wish to be any closer, with all the shops and restaurants on your doorstep.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Phil Dennis / (the owner) a message.

If Phil Dennis / (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
