Description

Jordan Cottage is a quirky 19th century, Grade 2 listed Fisherman's cottage in the heart of 'old Broadstairs', a 100 metres from the harbour and Viking Bay. Access to the Square is on foot only. On the ground floor there is an open plan kitchen and living area. The first floor is accessed by a steep staircase, typical of property of this style and age, leading to a double bedroom and a good sized bathroom. Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard to the front of the cottage with a bench. There is free roadside parking in adjacent streets. There is also a car park on the road leading up to the property. Jordan Cottage is small and comfortable and is close to Pubs, restaurants and local shops. The Cottage is owned and managed by a local Broadstairs family who extend a warm welcome to you.

Jordan Cottage will be available from April 2015. Bookings are normally from Saturday to Saturday. Shorter stays will be considered. No smoking. Dog allowed by agreement. Ideal for couples or small families. Check in is after 2pm and check out is by 11am. We do not take bookings with any less than 2 weeks prior notice.

Where possible, one of the family will welcome you to the cottage and hand over the keys. We live 5 minutes away and will be on hand to sort out any queries. If the family are not available, the guest can let themselves in by accessing the key from the keysafe outside.

“Charming Place to Stay”

Jordan cottage is located in a quiet little square, but is central to the beach local restaurants, shopping for supplies and everything you need. Tony meet us at the cottage and helped us in with our bags and we were able to lock or bikes in the shed. He showed us round the cottage and where everything was including cooker, microwave and even a washing machine. Broadstairs is a truly beautiful place to stay and if you don't wont to use a car there are buses to Ramsgate and Margate. The beach is one of the best in this part of the country and the local walks and rides are fantastic. The cottage has plenty of room for two and you could squeeze more in if you need to. Why stay in a B and B when you can stay in this traditional fisherman's cottage. We will be going back.

As a family of four and a small dog we have stayed in all options open to us in Broadstairs over the years & this lovely cottage is in our top 3. As pictured, very clean & great Comms while booking we have already recommended Jordan cottage to other friends. If in doubt just book you won't be disappointed it's in a great location just minutes from the beach.

Lovely position and great bedroom and bathroom and have actually had several of my friends stay since. Small downside was that upon arrival, we tried for some time to get online using the dongle and eventually rang the owner but never received a return call and therefore had no wifi. Thought the idea of being able to buy the books left in the cottage for charity a really good thing.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Tony (the owner) a message.

If Tony (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
