From the owner

Jordan Cottage is a quirky 19th century, Grade 2 listed Fisherman's cottage in the heart of 'old Broadstairs', a 100 metres from the harbour and Viking Bay. Access to the Square is on foot only. On the ground floor there is an open plan kitchen and living area. The first floor is accessed by a steep staircase, typical of property of this style and age, leading to a double bedroom and a good sized bathroom. Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard to the front of the cottage with a bench. There is free roadside parking in adjacent streets. There is also a car park on the road leading up to the property. Jordan Cottage is small and comfortable and is close to Pubs, restaurants and local shops. The Cottage is owned and managed by a local Broadstairs family who extend a warm welcome to you.

Jordan Cottage will be available from April 2015. Bookings are normally from Saturday to Saturday. Shorter stays will be considered. No smoking. Dog allowed by agreement. Ideal for couples or small families. Check in is after 2pm and check out is by 11am. We do not take bookings with any less than 2 weeks prior notice.

    Where possible, one of the family will welcome you to the cottage and hand over the keys. We live 5 minutes away and will be on hand to sort out any queries. If the family are not available, the guest can let themselves in by accessing the key from the keysafe outside.

    We enjoy our stay. Cozy, clean and well situated for the beach and all shops/restaurants. Easy going and friendly owner let us bring our little cat. Will be back!

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    How do I edit my booking?

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Tony (the owner) a message.

    If Tony (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
