“we have not enjoyed such a relaxing break during all our trips away”
We had such a lovely relaxing weekend with our son and soon to be daughter in law, we read all the comments in the visitors book about the easy access to Paris and visits that had been made to the towns along the beautiful coast of Kent. We almost made plans but ended up making wedding invitations, sitting in front of the wood burner and having a 'guess who' league! And the men having football tournaments down stairs. We took leisurely walks to the lovely sandy beach for picnics when we weren't having a BBQ in the garden listening to the many birds. There was everything we needed in the house, no thinking 'we should have bought this ..........' we have recommended the cottage to many friends since returning, we're hoping there will be vacancies for the next break we will be booking.
Owner's reply: So glad you had a lovely time. I very much look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.
“home from home”
we enjoyed our stay at seagull cottage so much we would definitely go back , we found it to be a modern welcoming house with the character and warmth of a cosy cottage . the games room and garden were great places for the children to have fun in and the rest of the house proved to be all that we needed for our stay . after our busy days out it was a great place to relax and chill out .
We stayed here for a week in August, my husband, myself and my 2 daughters. The house is simply stunning. I have stayed in many cottages in England but this is by far and away the best. The location is perfect, near the nicest of the bays I think, Joss Bay, and the house itself is beautiful. Everything in there was to a very high standard, clean, modern and very comfortable, The girls loves the den, and we spent most of our time in the back of the house with the doors open onto the lovely garden. We were blessed with good weather whilst we were there, so we made good use of the garden, but even if it had been bad, I think the den and the selection of board games would keep everyone amused. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise too. Broadstairs itself is charming and al in all we had a wonderful week. We would all love to return.
“A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location, with a wonderful owner”
We had a fantastic stay in Seagull Cottage and Tracey is a wonderful host, with great communication from start to finish and lovely welcome pack on arrival. When we realised part of one of the children's games consoles was missing she also arranged for a new part to be delivered the very next day - great service and much appreciated by excited children! The cottage has been beautifully renovated/decorated and we were lucky enough to be able to enjoy the beautiful long garden too. The area is lovely and joss bay and kingsgate bay are both in walking distance and offer a lovely morning running route for those who like a bit of exercise. Broadstairs is a good base for exploring the local area - the highlights for us were Canterbury, Deal (great swimming pool for children) and Minnis Bay where you can bikes and ride along the Viking trail. Westwood cross shopping area is right on the doorstep, with every supermarket you could need. I have a feeling we will return one day.
“A stunning cottage, beautifully decorated and felt like home.”
We stayed at Sesgull Cottage at Christmas with my six year old Son and my Husband along with my Sister and her Husband and their two adult daughters. When we arrived everything was perfect, the cottage had been decorated with little Christmas touches and a welcome basket left for us to enjoy. I cannot recommend this cottage enough, the owners Tracey and Richard have put their heart and sole into this little haven of tranquility. You could not ask for anything more for a truly relaxing holiday, the surrounding area of Broadstairs was well known to us as I was born there, it has wonderful restaurants and beautiful beaches, for those of you who like to cook the kitchen was fully equipped and has a wonderful dining room, the garden is big and would be wonderful when the weather is warmer. Thank you for making our Christmas so very special Tracey and Richard.
“Stylish, but comfortable and well-equipped, cottage in stunning village location and just a stroll to the sea”
We loved the cottage and its village location. It is deceptively spacious and has been renovated to a very high standard and stylishly too. Everything was clean and fresh. The owners were a delight to deal with and recommended several local sights including the many stunning, yet quiet, beaches as well as Dickens' House Museum in Broadstairs and The Turner Contemporary in Margate. Highly recommend a visit to this cottage in this part of the country at any time of the year.
“A lovely comfortable home from home.”
We had a wonderful stay at Seagull Cottage, despite dismal weather! The house was so beautifully presented, with lovely personal touches. The photo's don't really do it justice. We arrived quite late on the arrival day, after getting stuck on the M2 for 5 hours! Once we arrived, key pick-up was easy and we immediately felt at home. There was milk in the fridge and a really thoughtful welcome pack - I won't reveal as it will spoil the surprise! The kids loved the den, which was a real bonus with the rainy weather. The garden is beautiful - mostly admired from the dining area, although we did brave the weather for a barbeque one evening! Off street parking was a bonus and there was space on the road for visitors. The communication with the owner was excellent - all my queries were answered straight away, even questions about the plants in her garden! We didn't try walking to the beach, we preferred to take all the kit in the car. It was just a few minutes drive to Joss Bay and parking was no problem. All in all a great experience and we would love to return. Thank you.
“Spotlessly clean, well equiped in a convenient & quiet location”
Stayed here for 1 week in July whilst we visited our friends and family in the area. Located about 5 mins drive from central broadstairs. The Loop bus service also stops nearby. The kitchen had everything we might need to cook for ourselves and our 2 young children (ages 5 and 20 months), even plenty of plastic cups, plates and bowls for the kids. Lovely sunn, fenced back garden with sun loungers, patio area with table and chairs for 6 people, a rotary washing line and even a slide which our kids loved. Lovely spotless bed linen and white towels. The whole house was immaculate on our arrival. The housekeeper does a thorough job between clients. We would definitely return in future.
“Brilliant Cottage - look no further!”
We had never been to Broadstairs before so Tracey's very helpful emails before our holiday were very welcome with tips of where to go & what to see. In fact Tracey has been a complete delight to deal with since our intital booking. The Cottage is Beautiful. In a very quiet Road with a lovely garden as an added bonus. It has been equipped to a very high standard and is a real home from home with many well thought out extra's. Soozie the next door neighbour is very friendly and helped us with directions and even lent my children her swingball to play with! So if you are thinking of coming to Broadstairs this is the Cottage for you!
We had a lovely holiday in June. The house is fully furnished with everything you want for small children. Ours loved the garden with the slide and the basement playroom with the lego. There are several beaches a short drive away. The décor is like staying in a plush hotel, very relaxing break.
