“We loved this cottage”

Reviewed 17 Nov 2013

Warm clean and welcoming. the log fire works well and the cottage is characterful, cosy and comfortable and very convenient for the mountains and Glencoe area. Plenty of room for drying clothes and boots. A new remote for the tv would be nice. We would come again.

“Cosy, comfortable cottage with lovely views of the loch.”

Reviewed 10 Mar 2013

Stayed at Stone Cottage for a short break the first week of March with husband and dog. Lovely spot with views of loch. Great fire in sitting room for chilly months. Bedroom was warm and bed comfortable. Cottage is well kitted out even supplying towels and toiletries. Lots of walks for all abilities in the vicinity. You can walk to either Ballachulish or Glencoe for for supplies - Ballachulish has the better shop. Pubs/eateries in both directions and more a short drive away. All in all very good value.

“Lovely old stone cottage with views over Loch Leven”

Reviewed 8 Mar 2013

Stone Cottage is a very well equiped cottage, ideal for walking straight out the door and doing the Ballachulish horseshoe. Two cafes within 5mins walk makes this an ideal spot to stay. Good space for drying boots/jackets but as we had some of the best weather I've ever seen in Winter luckily we didn't need it.

“Lovely little cottage”

Reviewed 4 Oct 2012

We stayed for 3 nights in this cottage. It had a good location (we arrived by bus and the bus stop is about 10 min walk away). There's a co-op 10-15min walk away and we had a good time staying into cook with the well-equipped kitchen. Even when the weather was bad, it was lovely to stay in and enjoy the fireplace and warm atmosphere. The cottage must be commended for its cleanliness. Everything was as stated on their website. The owner was also very prompt in providing information and helpful. Would love to go back there if I have the chance!

“Cosy cottage in a beautiful location”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2012

I stayed here with my three teenage children. The location was ideal being close to lots of exciting activities and amenities. The cottage was ideal for four people and very well equipped. It is near to two villages and directly opposite the loch. There is a lovely gift shop with a great cafe just a few minutes walk.

“Excellent cosy cottage”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2012

This well appointed, but cosy cottage was a wonderful place to spend an unfortunately rainy week in Glencoe. We were only sorry we could not stay longer.

“Perfect location for a relaxing break surrounded by breathtaking views with local amenities within easy walking distance”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2011

We were looking for a reasonably priced self catering cottage in a tranquil location, but not too isolated, for a relaxing break . Stone cottage fitted the bill perfectly. It is within easy reach of Oban and Fort William and is a good base for exploring the local area with its stunning scenery. The wood burner really enhances the cosy atmosphere in the cottage and the view is ever changing with the light conditions. The West coast air has a special quality and Glencoe is so atmospheric. It was hard to leave for home.
