From the owner

Stone Cottage is located between Glencoe and Ballachulish villages (5 minute walk to each). An ideal location for all outdoor enthusiasts. Climbing, walking, fishing, golf and watersports are all a short distance away.

The cottage has a beamed ceiling in the living room. Light the log burning stove, curl up with a glass of wine and relax in the warmth whilst watching the boats bobbing on the water.

In line with our policy to always improve our cottages, in December 2018 we are installing high quality double glazing in our cottages with the ability to reduce eternal noise down to a minimum, to help ensure all our guests enjoy the peace and quiet. New external doors are also being installed.

Go and explore the woodland area at the rear of the cottage (at own risk). It is a site of special scientific interest.

Can you spot the deer in the woodlands? or will they wander down into the main garden to feed?

(please note that there are open waterways in the garden - due to part of it being woodland - children should be supervised at all times. Unfortunately we do not accept children under 5.)

Further details

Unless otherwise arranged, we request that guests arrive after 4pm, and depart by 10am to allow for the cottage to be cleaned and prepared for the next guests.

Due to the stairs and open waterways in the garden, we do not accept children under 5. Please supervise older children if they venture up into the woodland area.

For health and safety reasons, during icy periods, please pay extra attention outside (preferably use the front door) and the slate paths do become slippy.

Further details indoors

Parking facitities at the rear of the cottage.

Drying area for walking clothes inside as well as a dedicated drying room built adjacent to the cottage.
As well as being able to enjoy a log fire, the cottage does have central heating, as well as additional heaters if required.

The cottage has an extensive collection of dvds/games/books for you to enjoy.

Free Wi-fi

Further details outdoors

The rear garden is a suntrap, during the summer months it receives the sun for most of the day.
The garden is just under 1 acre in size. The majority is woodland with open waterways. This is the view you get from the bedrooms. The woodland is a site of special scientific interest.
Deer are often spotted in the woods/garden area.

There is a patio area dedicated to the cottage which has garden furniture during the summer months.
The low nature of the cottage means that even when sat at the rear of the cottage you will be able to admire the loch.
