Birchview is the old Station Masters house built in late 1890 It benefits from an extremely sheltered and secluded location only a few minutes walk from all the leisure and recreational activities, restaurants and retail outlets offered by the popular year round resort of Aviemore. It is an extremely well equipped and appointed property, ideal for relaxing family holidays or the many activities available in this beautiful area.

“We wouldn’t stay anywhere else”

This house, garden and location is just absolutely perfect. We have just got back home from Aviemore and it had been the second time we stayed in Birchwood. The house is very clean and very well equipped , big rooms, comfy sofa, gorgeous garden. Lots of blackbirds around, very chatty, we loved it. Neighbourhood is very quiet, the house is in the cup de sac, perfect! If you are an outdoor person like us there is plenty of interesting places to visit, all very close. Shops are only 5 minutes walk away, train station also. A train rail is running behind the garden but it’s not busy at all so it didn’t bother us at all. Owners are also very lovely people, they would do anything for you! I left a couple of cloths and shoes in the wardrobe , they are going to post it for me. I really have to think hard to find something to complain about but I can’t. That’s why we are going back next year again.

Stayed for Easter weekend, great location, beautiful garden, house could do with upgrading but was very clean and really well equipped, would definitely return,

“Best so far”

We go to Aviemore every year,although many of the other cottages have been newer, Birch View was by far the most pleasing, with a lot of character, it had everything we needed including a good size secure rear garden for our dogs. Very quiet location,& not too far away from the local shops.

Good location for Aviemore's activities and amenities, cosy house well equipped kitchen- seven of us stayed and had a great week. No problems at all, directions and access arrangements all good.

Good location in Aviemore central to all local walks and hills. The house has everything we needed even a lasagne dish!! Property was beautifully clean and tidy and had lots of space for 4 adults.

“Lovely well equipped house if a bit quirky”

This house is in a great location about 5 minutes away from the shops so you don’t hear traffic all day. Admittedly, there is trains but they are fun to watch especially the steam engine that passes each day. Having a separate dining room, kitchen and living room was great as it meant our large group wasn't tripping over each other. The kitchen was remarkably well stocked – every implement we could think of was there, which gave us a lot of freedom in the kitchen. In addition, there was in fact two fridges and a freezer. I must also do a shout out here for the quality of the non-stick pans as they could have an egg fried on them without oil. The living room has Skye which is nice for the evenings (and therefore there is a HDMI at the house if you want to plug a laptop in). Also, the sofas are recliners and very comfy to relaxing in in an evening. The reviews of the two double beds are that you sink in and do not want to leave (can confirm) but as people have said there is a shower and a toilet in one of the rooms. We were pleasantly surprised how unobtrusive the toilet was – although you would want the privacy of the room to yourself when going. In addition, the shower downstairs was bliss and had greater pressure than the upstairs one. The garden was beautifully kept and has a very sturdy summer house in the corner. The lawn was large enough that we could play games such as piggy-in-middle easily. As for Aviemore, it is the perfect location for all manner of outdoor activities but many are made infinitely easier by having a car with you.

“Lovely Stay”

Lovely weeks stay in a great location. House was well equipped, the only downfall was the downstairs bedroom with built in en suite, not a comfortable bed and room required total renovation. But on saying that we would return.

Lovely week in Aviemore house was very comfortable and well equipped, in a very good location for accessibility to local venues. Lovely garden it was just a shame the weather was so changeable but that's Scotland! En suite bedroom was the only thing we were disappointed with, could be done with complete updating, bed was not comfortable.

How do damage deposits work?
