Very Good

“Lovely cottage and good location”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2018

Lovely place to stay. Very relaxing and private. Comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Thoroughly enjoyed the welcome package especially the cake! Very convenient location for visiting all the main attractions and 5 minutes walk into the village. Would certainly stay again if in the area. Definitely recommend this beautiful cottage!

Owner's reply: Hello Tracy, Thank you for your lovely review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay in Alnmouth. I will let our brilliant cake maker (my mum) know that you enjoyed her cake. She will be thrilled to bits! Please come back and stay again any time. Best Wishes Christine and Louise:)

“Midwood Cottage”

Reviewed 25 Aug 2018

We enjoyed a lovely week at Midwood Cottage. The cottage was clean, cosy and well furnished, with everything we could have needed - and the cake and Prosecco awaiting us was very well received! The cottage was a great base for exploring the wonders of Northumberland, with a fabulous beach, restaurants and deli on the doorstep. Thank you for a lovely stay - I’m sure we’ll be back!

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely review. We try to make the Cottage a 'home from home' for our guests and so we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. Northumberland is so beautiful with fabulous beaches and countryside, please do come back, you are welcome any time! Best Wishes Christine, Louise and all the team.

“a joy as always”

Reviewed 18 Sep 2015

Great accommodation, with parking, in quiet location. Alnmouth is always lovely. Midwood is a short walk to village facilities, pubs, restaurants and the glorious beach. Cottage is compact, but ideal for a couple. Well equipped, and nice to have a pleasant garden. I am sure we will return.

“Beautifully appointed cottage in excellent location”

Reviewed 10 Oct 2011

My partner and I enjoyed a three night break at this cottage and we only wish it could have been longer. The cottage was very clean and furnished to a high standard, in my opinion well deserving of its 4 star rating. A "welcome pack" consisting of wine, flowers and homemade cake was a lovely gesture and well received! The cottage is only a couple of minutes walk from the main street in Alnmouth, and is ideally situated for local walks and access to the estuary and beach. It had its own car port and space on the driveway for parking, which was very convenient. We found Alnmouth to be a lovely village, with pubs, tea shops, post office and gift shop. During our short stay we went on a number of walks along the coastline and into the surrounding village of Lesbury. So peaceful and relaxing. We hope to return to Alnmouth for a longer break next time and stay once again in the comfort of Midwood Cottage.
