Description

Idris Heights is an immaculate detached spacious chalet in an elevated, private location with beautiful views over the Dyfi Estuary and to the mountains in the distance.

The site is located at the foot of the lovely Cader Idris Mountain range and nearby is Snowdonia and the resorts and beauty spots of Cardigan Bay.

The beautiful harbor village of Aberdovey which is renowned for its mild climate, sandy beaches, sailing and a championship 18 Golf Course is approximately 3 miles away.

There are many outdoor activities which can be enjoyed within close proximity to Plas Panteidal i.e. Sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, yachting, rock climbing, abseiling, hill walking, pony trekking, sea fishing to name but a few.

Plas Panteidal Chalet Park is set in 40 acres of steeply rising wooded hillside overlooking the scenic splendor of the Dovey Estuary.

Totally refurbished throughout in 2011 to a very high standard, Idris Heights has been insulated internally and plaster boarded too making it look more like a bungalow inside than a chalet.

All the rooms have electric heating and upvc double glazing.

Idris Heights has the benefit of a luxury shower room and a separate cloakroom.

We would advise that due to the hillside location and general terrain that Idris Heights is not suitable for the disabled.

Electric is paid by guests using a coin operated meter that takes £1 and £2 coins.

Bed sheets are provided for all 3 beds.

Please bring your own towels etc.

We would advise taking out holiday insurance.

“comfortable, well equipped, clean, fantastic view, quiet location.”

Just returned from Idris Heights had a really lovely time with two granddaughters who thought the "little house" was great: it certainly is very comfortable and what a view best location on the site. We found things to do close by; crabbing at Aberdovey and body boarding at Tywyn. A great time had by all and a comfortable base to return to. Always had a quick response from the owners when I asked a question; Thank you Mark and Craig for a great stay.

“Beautiful, tranquil, perfect break from city life!”

The chalet was cosy, spoltlessly clean with a gorgeous view from all Windows. Only complaint was the initial smell of damp when first entering but the smell soon went once the heaters were put on. The surrounding area is just the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen. If you're looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of city life, then you couldn't want anything better than aberdovey. It has everything the city doesn't such as natural views, sea, peace, stars and nature, and nothing the city has such as traffic, pollution, and commercialisation.

After a steep, winding and bumpy track up to the chalet, the first thing we noticed was the view. The chalet must be in the best position on the site. There's a gap in the trees so we could see over the whole of Aberdovey bay. The chalet is clean and spacious with just about everything you need. The site is lovely and quiet with lots of space for my grandkids to play. I had a slight problem with the shower (which was fixed straight away) and mark was very helpful and understanding when i phoned him. I would recommend this chalet but don't all book! Leave a space for us next year!

First of all the location is stunning. The views from our kitchen window and sitting room were breathtaking. Lots of things to do around, very peaceful and quiet. The kitchen has everything you could wish for from utensils to crockery, cleaning products, kitchen towels, bin bags and anything you could think of. There is a working washing machine and tumble drier which came very useful, in an unfortunate way. There are 2 tv's one in the sitting room one in the main bedroom with freeview. Lots of games available and an old console and dvd reader as well. Now, the bad part.It was only one: cleanliness. The lodge was far from clean and had to go around with disinfectant wipes and the hoover as it seems that no effort was done to clean after the last guests.There were rests and breadcrumbs on teh kitchen table I assume after previous breakfast/lunch. I have called before leaving one of the owners to ask about bed linen and he has been the most useful and friendly chap over the phone. However, when we got there, the bed linens have been slept and have not been changed. It was obvious as marks on the bed as well as hairs were laying on the beds and pillows. Had to strip bare the beds, wash them and dry them.Bed protector was badly stained. Don t know what we would have done have we not had a washing machine and a drier. If we would have known about this we would still have come but would have been prepared with our own bed linings. But we didn't which was disappointing. I assume that the owners don't really know about the extend to which the lodge is cleaned and should have a word with the cleaning company as this is a big let down considering the place they have there, which is stunning. All in all it was a wonderful break, thank you Mark and Craig!

The chalet is really well kitted out, but I must say you definitely need your own transport. Despite the wet start we were able to do plenty walking, shame we only managed to sit out in the back with a drink and the sun ☀ only once, but that's British weather for you, lovely and cosy.

The cabin was great set in a forested area with great views over the estuary. Very well kept and well equipped accommodation. We had a fabulous long weekend break. Really peaceful and only a short drive to aberdovey. Highly recommended

We will definitely be back.The views were lovely. The cabin was lovely and clean and finished off nice.We were able to sit out at night as sun went down and listened to the owls.....while having a little vino .My son was happy as there was a playstation. If you walk behind the cabin you get a really stunning views.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Craig/Mark (the owner) a message.

If Craig/Mark (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
