“The Beautiful Villa Francesca” Villa Francesca felt more like a second home than a rental property. There was a wonderful feeling of homeliness about it. The standard of the accommodation was good and we enjoyed the spaciousness of the rooms. We were a party of 8 ranging in ages from 6 to 80 and everyone had a wonderful time. For my parents both in their 80's there was more than enough space to disappear to away from the children yet without feeling the need to temper the children's enjoyment of the pool and garden (both of which were beautifully kept). We would all return to this villa in a heartbeat. The owners too were very kind and welcoming in email correspondence before and after we arrived with great recommendations for beaches and restaurants. The location was a perfect balance in terms of distance to a variety of different beaches and restaurants whilst at the same time the villa itself was very private and tucked away from the buzz of the town. The local manager was helpful and accommodating. We really did love this holiday and would have no hesitation in recommending it. We hope to return to Villa Francesca ourselves on day soon.

“Excellent complex, immaculate, no fuss, superb location” Spent a really enjoyable week, the apartment is finished to the highest standard. Spacious, modern, excellent kitchen, superb shower! Complex is lovely, neat gardens, very well kept, however with minimum fuss. The pool area very well designed, 2 pools, ensuring maximum peace and quiet even for those without children. Pool bar offered a range of snacks at lunch time, delivered with minimum fuss, by friendly and polite staff. Location of the apartment meant it was a short stroll into the village that was home to many lovely restaurants, suiting all budgets! This was our second visit to Praia Da Luz and we will certainly come back again.

“Amazing villa” We came here for my friends hen do last week and it was the most amazing villa. On arrival the villa was so clean and so was the pool. The villa is in an excellent location for the old town or the new strip. You can walk but we used taxi and this cost around 5 euros or you can call the villa manager who will arrange minibus. The beach was a short walk away from villa. The night life was really good and we had the best time. We would definitely book agian.

“Fantastic large villa - perfect for groups and in the middle of both Albufeira and Villamoura!” A beautiful villa with loads of space! Huge open plan living room/dining room, ample bathrooms, beautiful pool area, pool table and outside bbq area. Situated in a quiet location it was so peaceful but only a 10 min taxi ride to Albufeira (10 euros) and 15 mins to Villamoura (15 euros). Beach is a 10 minute walk, two local large supermarkets that sell everything only 2 minute walk from the villa was a big bonus! Some bars, restaurants and little shops that sell a million varieties of lilos (don’t bring any with you). Also requested for the pool to be heated beforehand and it was so that was great and it was cleaned throughout our stay too! Previous reviews mention building works, no building works when I visited. Would highly recommend for anyone! Note, we had 14 people and 2 beds are pull out camp beds (not the sofa) but were comfy and worked better than a sofa bed as all the rooms had enough space to fit them in so then could be left up and not waste space in communal areas. Only comments to make for improvements from management would be: more glasses and bigger ones too, was only 10-12 small half pint glasses and wine glasses. More outside lighting? Provide some basics for the kitchen I.e washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towel, oven gloves, toilet roll, salt, pepper and oil. Would have just been a fantastic touch that would finish it all off! 5 star 100%!

“Perfect quiet retreat, idyllic.” This was our first trip to the Algarve and what a perfect introduction. We travelled with our 3 children ages 8, 6 and 4 and this house was ideal. There is nothing misleading in the photo's, it really is that beautiful. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The pool is just wonderful, although we experienced slightly odd weather during the middle of our stay that meant the pool was a bit nippy. The house was cosy on dull days though and we didn't mind one bit heading back some days to spend time indoors. There were lots of lovely little areas also for the children to explore, they loved the lemon trees and the fish pond. We spent an afternoon in Monchique, found some great places for coffee in the square. The Panorama restaurant on the way into Monchique was great, really nice pizza's and salads at very good prices. We can also recommend Bica Boca which served really authentic homemade meals (the owner had a fire on the go as well which went down well!) The local supermarket is reasonably priced and stocked with all the essentials. We had no problems with language either, our pigeon Portuguese was well received but everyone is very helpful. The little local custard tarts are a must. My husband has been living on them, but they are considerably cheaper in the remoter areas (15 cents each in Monchique compared to 1 euro!) All in all, a wonderful holiday and I must say everyone has been very envious of our holiday photo's! Thanks again Nigel.
