“Amazing villa, wonderful views, temples and buffalos - a great holiday.” There were five of us with ages ranging from 6 - 60+ and the holiday at Villa con Vista suited all of us. The three children spent most of their time in the pool, the adults read in the shade of the fig tree with trips to the beach, the temples and Albanella and Matinella to shop in between.
The house itself was cool even though the temperatures were in the high thirties when we stayed. It was amazingly well equipped and spacious.
I love the Greek temples at Paestum, which was one of the reasons I chose this villa and they, and the sandy beaches were about half an hour away, once we had worked out the route ! The roads away from main roads were very rough, so watch out for this.
An added bonus which we had not expected were the buffalo farms, and we could hear the milking early in the morning and went to visit a farm.
We ate well in Albanella although it was just that bit too far to walk in with the children.
I am looking forward to returning with another part of my family in October when we hope to follow some of the paths nearby in the cooler weather.
“Has the wow factor until you see otherwise.......”

Stayed at Villa Con Vista and found the Villa beautifully presented although we had some problems here are a FEW -flood from the air conditioning in one bedroom (we had just arrived) it took two days … More
Obviously, we are always keen to hear feedback, and we are sorry to hear that Villa Con Vista did not meet our guest’s expectations on this particular occasion.
Prior to this, we had no serious problems with the air conditioning units, and they have operated faultlessly since. Being in a secluded and rural part of Italy, 48 Hours to have the air conditioning unit attended to and fixed we feel is actually very good. Clearly we would have preferred this not to happen in the first place, but as with any house with electrical appliances, despite regular maintenance, these things very occasionally happen.
The local commune (council) controls the water supply in the area, and sometimes regulates to private residences during exceptionally hot summers, at night when required.
We provide all of our guests with our home and personal mobile numbers. We are always happy to take guests' calls and would have been happy to explain how to switch over to the alternate water supply if this was required
“The best Villa ever!!!” Everything about the villa was great!! View, breakfast, dinner, pool. The hosts Marco and Pascquale were very helpful. They organized catering/music on our wedding day. The Quality was 5 stars!!!! Definitely we will back!! I am highly recommending this villa for all occasions.
“Exception value & service” We stayed in Residence Baia di Sorgeto for a week at the end of August. I booked several months in advance via Holiday Bookings & dealt by email with Claudia, who advised me on everything from pricing to how to get there.
The studio apartment was all that we needed & Claudia also advised on local resteraunts, sights, bus-service, transfers back to the port etc.
Our daily routine started with a brisk walk up the hill to get a cappucino, pick up the Italian sports newspaper, buy fresh bread & provisions from the supermarkets & fruit/veg shop, then wander back for breakfast before vegging out by the pool all day.
The pool was a highly pleasant warm bath temperature & the views from the pool terrace out over the Med were stunning. It really facilitated exactly what we needed which was solid R&R.
Two exceptional value resteraunts within walking distance:
1. Giselle 400m down the hill was EURO25 for a litre of local red wine, a basket of bread, chefs special, a large salad & a large platter of seafood
2. The pizzeria at the top of the hill (near the bus-stop) was just a little more for a litre of local red wine, a good sized salad & two pizzas
If your purse can stretch to EURO25 peak season for two sun-loungers + EURO40 for lunch, a day down at Baia di Sorgeto is worth it too. Best not to go on the weekend if you can avoid it because of the volume of local bathers ...
All told an awesome stay ...
