“Family visit” Abacus House is centrally located and within walking distance of Ypres centre. The House is superb and wel, equipped. Johan and his wife met us on arrival and gave us a very warm welcome and detailed instructions on how the house operates.
Johan provided all the information we needed for our stay in Ypres.
Although some guest have mentioned parking is not available outside the house. There is free parking at the end of the road and we were able to find spaces every day with no inconvenience.
Would highly recommend this property and hope to come back soon
“Beautiful home from home” We stayed here for a week and had a lovely, comfortable stay. It was very well equipped and in a beautiful position.
The area's history was fascinating and has a big connection to the UK. Ypres and Bruges are nearby-such beautiful cities to visit.
The beach is very close and there are some lovely restaurants within cycling distance so you can have a beer or 2!!
I would definitely recommend it.
“Excellent, clean and very well equipped accommodation.” The cottage is absolutely lovely and the owner Marie Therese made us very welcome and made us feel very much at home. The property is absolutely spotless and the kitchen is the best equipped kitchen I have seen. I think everything is there that anyone would want. It is a perfect place to relax and to use as a base to visit many places in the area. You do need a car to get there but you can use the train (station not far away) to visit say Brugges or Brussels. The beds are comfortable and includes linen and towels in the bathroom. The bathroom is downstairs so you do have to go downstairs from the bedrooms - which isn't really a big issue. I would certainly recommend this lovely and friendly cottage and we would certainly hope to stay there again.
