“Excellent in every way!” We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Villa Lakeview and cannot recommend this property highly enough. The location is really tranquil by the lake and very private. We took the ferry from Dover to Dunkirk and the drive time from Dunkirk was just over 30 minutes. On entering the villa, it immediately feels like home-from-home. It is very spacious and comfortable and we only wished we could have stayed for longer than three days! Katrien is so helpful and made us feel like family rather than just paying lodgers. All contact with her prior to our arrival was first-class. She even had a bottle of wine awaiting us on our arrival! We are already looking forward to our next visit!

“Excellent, clean and very well equipped accommodation.” The cottage is absolutely lovely and the owner Marie Therese made us very welcome and made us feel very much at home. The property is absolutely spotless and the kitchen is the best equipped kitchen I have seen. I think everything is there that anyone would want. It is a perfect place to relax and to use as a base to visit many places in the area. You do need a car to get there but you can use the train (station not far away) to visit say Brugges or Brussels. The beds are comfortable and includes linen and towels in the bathroom. The bathroom is downstairs so you do have to go downstairs from the bedrooms - which isn't really a big issue. I would certainly recommend this lovely and friendly cottage and we would certainly hope to stay there again.
