"Lovely cottage in very special remote country spot"

We rented Merlin House for a long weekend in early July 2013. There were 8 of us in the group - 6 adults and 2 children and we were very well catered for. The cottage itself is traditional but very well maintained with plenty of space. There is a building behind the cottage which is a games room where the kids spent hours playing pool and table tennis. We had family meals around the large dining table, but the best part for us was the surrounding countryside - lovely, peaceful and remote. We enjoyed good weather so spent most of our time in the garden, sunbathing and enjoying the BBQ.

You can see for miles around from the cottage; greenery and livestock everywhere you look. If you like walking, make the most of the walks in the lovely Crychan forest, which is just at the end of the drive.

Renting this cottage helped to make our dad's 70th birthday weekend very special. We would love to come back some day.

"Gorgeous cottage, we had a brilliant stay - totally recommend!"

A group of us stayed here for a weekend for my birthday and it couldn't have been a better choice! The cottage was lovely inside, really spacious, clean and homely. The views and the surrounding countryside are very pretty and fairly remote, the location was ideal really - we wanted somewhere remote but within a few miles of a town or village with a pub and a shop; this cottage was close to both. The owners were really friendly and helpful, providing us with directions to get there and details about logistics etc. All in all, this cottage was exactly what we wanted it; it was brilliant value for money and I would totally recommend it!
