About the home

2 bed apartment 300m from magnificent sandy beach, 3min walk to Burgau village centre - with its ancient Portuguese charm, restaurants and individual shops. Adjacent undeveloped national park with coastal walks. This recently built 'end of terrace' top/1st floor, 2 bath, air conditioned apartment has lovely views over both Burgau, the country and the sea, with roof terrace, and large balcony to all bedrooms and living room. Free access to exclusive swimming pool/club/gym. Quiet position with no passing traffic, ideal for couples and families alike. Meet and greet service. We are not the cheapest, as we offer a high standard of service, and furnishings are to a high standard too, good mattress - not soft and spongy. Location is particularly advantageous. We are aiming to provide a professional service for complete satisfaction and repeat bookings.

Conditions

One flight of stairs so not ideal for infirm, but no worst than airline steps. No good for wheel chairs though unless you are 'Andy'. . Smoking Ok on terrace if cleaned up.

The Algarve / West Algarve region

Algarve has a good deal of sunshine year round, 6 hrs/ day in winter average. It has a slightly English feel about it, making it feel very homely. Nice and clean, tidy, with lots of local crafts, Amazing beaches, unspoilt towards the west of Lagos, in the national park. Mountains inland for a change of scenery..This is a particulary attractive area of the Algarve, not so commercialised, and retains a lot of character, with beautiful coastal scenery.

The Lagos / Burgau area

Lagos for its eateries, local character, and marina. Several surrounding villages with their own unique character. Quaint fishing villages too, coves and harbours. Very romantic!

Lagos has a large marina, cobbled streets, quaint bars but also popular night clubs. There are various golf courses nearby. Also waterparks, zoo, bowling, cinemas, dolphin watching.

Mountain drives half an hour away, where you can buy freshly picked oranges and local handicrafts.

There is a webcam in Burgau which you can check what the weather is like and also tell your friends to look on the Internet to see you enjoying yourself.

Fly to Faro - Very easy, frequent, cheap flights....especially if booked 6wks+ in advance and midweek outside school hols. ** I am more than happy to check out best flight deals for anyone!!
• Several airlines incl. BA, Easyjet, RyanAir, Monarch• Car Hire or Taxi..... all bookable online too......very easy, I normally use Argus Car Hire.or Travel Supermarket. ...
• Its a fast 1 hour drive, mainly along a quiet motorway, and 5km off motorway near Lagos.
Situated by the coast West of Luz and 10km West of Lagos. Just as you leave Burgau going West, apartment is off main road right and uphill at the end. (so no passing traffic)

“Great Apartment Great Location!” Our prebooked taxi never turned up so we should have used the taxi recommended by the owner's agent. Then we found we booked the wrong month!! So we arrived really late, but the agent was still... more

Just a quick note to say thank you for the rental of your lovely apartment. We enjoyed every minute of our time there - it was so comfortable, peaceful, spacious and spotlessly clean. We thought it had one of the best positions in Burgau with such lovely views and the bonus of the roof terrace. The welcome pack was much appreciated. Sean was very helpful in showing us around the apartment and telling us how things worked. Just something you might want to change on your instructions - it's apartment B not D.

Fantastic well equipped apartment with wonderful seaviews, large balcony and roof terrace for private sunbathing,. We have just come back and have had a great holiday. Burgau is lovely and this apartment must have the best views in the village - we will be back! G T Birmingham
