About the home

This recently built fully equipped luxury apartment benefits from a large roof terrace (with a private jacuzzi) which enjoys the sun all day and has sea views. The apartment is set in an exclusive condominium with beautiful landscaped gardens and water features. There is an adult and kids outdoor swimming pool, fully equipped gym, indoor pool with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and spa. Off the living room is a spacious balcony also with sea views, and is furnished with a table and chairs (for 6) to enable you to dine al fresco, enjoy breakfast whilst gazing at the sea, or simply just relax with a glass of wine at the end of the day.

With one double and one twin bedroom, the apartment is ideal for families (or golfers). Adjacent to a National Park with beautiful costal walks there is plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay. There is a mezzanine floor with a sofa bed for additional guests (if required). There is also free wi fi access.

- golf driving range, practice putting green, practice hole (par 4 with bunker)

The Algarve / West Algarve region

The un-spoilt Western Algarve is an unexpected, surprising and delightful discovery for people used to a more hectic lifestyle. The Algarve has a wonderful climate with over 3000 hours of sunshine per year making it a fantastic year round holiday destination. The summers are hot and dry. Temperatures average around 29º, but can rise into the 30ºs, with up to 12 hours of sunshine per day. There is usually a cooling sea breeze which keeps the atmosphere light. Spring and autumn are sunny. Temperatures average 17 – 20º and there is plenty of sunshine – perfect for golf and other sports.

The Lagos / Burgau area

Lazing by the pool or on the beach is always agreeable but for those who rather expend a little more energy we have plenty of suggestions. The list of things to do in the Algarve is almost endless..... big game fishing on the high seas, dolphin watching, kayak tours, scuba-diving. On dry land we suggest exciting off-road safaris by quad or jeep, go-karting, theme parks, water parks, tennis and much more...

There is a beautiful sandy beach cove in Burgau where the Beachbar is highly recommended for lunch or dinner and they rent sun loungers and shaded palms.

Golf on the Algarve is truly unique and an all round unforgettable experience. The year round sun and warm climate attracts many enthusiasts from chilly Northern Europe to play in the peak season of October to May. Nearest golf courses are Parque Da Floresta 18 hole championship course or Boavista 18 hole championship course and both are within a 10 minute drive. You also have Pilmares in Lagos and Penina which is only about a 20 minute drive away.

If you like fine dining check out www.fortalezadaluz.com which is only a couple of minutes drive away in Luz, or www.restaurantedonsebastiao.com in Lagos which is about a 15 minute drive away. These are just two of many nice restaurants around the area.

For motor racing enthusiasts you should check out one of the best and most modern circuits in Europe - The Algarve International Circuit www.autodromoalgarve.com. The circuit is about a 10-15 minute drive from Mar da Luz

Fly to Faro Airport - Mar da Luz is under an hour away and it takes just 10 minutes from the A22 motorway exit at Lagos to go from the hustle and bustle of modern living to the non-commercialised, calm and serenity of Mar da Luz
There are cheap flights available from most UK airports to Faro airport. Check with www.easyjet.com, www.ryanair.com, www.airlingus.com, www.monarch.co.uk from UK airports
Car hire available from Hertz, Avis, Europcar etc. at Faro airport or through numerous internet sites. Auto-Europe can often be the best price and can be pre-booked online.
Train from Faro to Lagos (which is about a 15 minute drive to the apartment) or a local bus service that goes to Burgau

The apartment is really beautifully furnished and very well laid out. We used the hot tub every day, the swimming pool plus the Gym.
