About the home

Villa Azure offers the ultimate holiday experience for both small and large groups. Located in the heart of Kalamar Bay, Kalkan- a 5 minute walk from: Kalamar Beach club, Hotel Kalube gardens and swimming platforms (free). It is simply divine. Azure is exceptionally spacious inside and out and is full of interior design touches to ensure that luxury, cosiness and comfort is offered.

Azure is brand new and one of the largest villas in the area, flanked by olive groves, offering good levels of privacy, with just one luxury villa behind. Azure enjoys panoramic views of the islands and the Taurus mountains. All bedrooms have sea views and furnished balconies. The top floor bedroom has immediate access to the huge furnished roof terrace with shaded gazebo to escape from the sun or to indulge in a little private sunbathing!

The large infinity pool is surrounded by marble terraces and gardens. With no compromise on luxury, Azure creates an ambiance of Mediterranean living at its best. WiFi, Sat TV, Blu-Ray DVD player, Wii, ipod docking stations, BBQ, table tennis and secure double garage.

Space and style will greet you as soon as you open the doors to Villa Azure. As you enter the first reception hall you will get a sense of the luxury that awaits you and as you make your way through the villa you will be amazed by the quality of your surroundings. Bright walls and contemporary art works create an ambiance that is truly Mediterranean. Villa Azure is suitable for children but, of course, they need to be supervised. A collection of DVDs and books has just been started but you may wish to bring your favourites. There is a cafe/restaurant within 300 metres and plenty of other places opening all the time as you walk along the Kalamar Road. There are two small supermarkets within a 5 minute walk, and Mustafa at Cafe Vita will always welcome you at any time of the day. The roof top gazebo and sunbathing area is luxurious. Please note it is a non-smoking villa. A welcome hamper is also provided.

Azure has a very large private infinity pool which looks magnificent floodlit by under-water lighting at night. The terrace space has to be seen to be believed as it wraps around the villa, so there is plenty of space for everyone to relax. Dine al-fresco from sunrise to sunset under the sun, moon and the stars. There is a built-in BBQ in the garden and a covered pergola is over the outside dining table to offer more protection from the sun.

The spectacular roof terrace is masive and an additional gazebo and sitting area hasbeen constructed so that you and can sip your favourite cocktail in real comfort as you watch the sun go down. You will feel as though you can touch the stars! There are 8 loungers and mattresses around the pool and additional parasols. Chairs in the garden invite you to sit in the shade to read or snooze! First floor bedrooms all have chairs with comfy cushions and a small table on the balcony. The gardens are full of plants and the palms, bougainvillea, jasmine and herbs are growing rapidly. Table tennis included.

Normal changeover day is Friday but we aim to be flexible wherever possible to accommodate your needs. We realise your holiday is special and we aim to please. Please enquire if you would like your holiday to span a different number of days.

Conditions

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking and the balance is due 8 weeks before the start date of your holiday.

We also require a £250 deposit for breakages/damages and this will be returned within 10 days of your departure.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The Turquoise coast offers a wide range of places to visit from sandy coves with Turqoise waters to the cultural sites of ancient Greek cities. The area also offers some of the best walking in the Mediterranean with the Lycian way passing close by the Villa. Just 15 minutes by car is the 20km golden beach of Patara with its ancient city under re-construction by the Univesity of Antalya - the amphitheatre has to be seen to be believed! Xanthos, the old Lycian capital is 30 minutes away by car.

In the other direction is Kaputas Beach - 10 minutes by car and Kas with its new Marina. Just an hour away is the Regional centre of Fethiye with a wide range of shops and a great market on Tuesday where you can buy fresh fish and have it cooked for you in the market restaurant. Explore Saklikent Gorge and feel as though you are following in the footsteps of Indiana Jones, visit the sunken city of Kekova by boat or bus from Kalkan or take a Gulet to the neighbouring islands and enjoy swimming in clear blue waters followed by a delicious lunch.

The Kalkan / Kalamar Bay area

Kalkan is often described as Turkey's best kept secret. With views to live for It is a small, sophisticated resort and the people are incredibly friendly and helpful. Colourful cobbled streets, Ottoman balconies, harbour side roof top restaurants and an eclectic mix of shops and boutiques combine to make it a charming place to take a holiday. In fact guests return year after year.

The Kalamar Beach club with its Diving Centre, kayaking, water skiing, ringo rides and pedaloes is just a 4 minute walk downhill - and they will drive you back free of charge! There are plenty of other beach clubs that will collect you and give you a charming day to remember. There's a choice of supermarkets - most will deliver your shopping free of charge - banks, chemists, boutiques, a post office and shops selling everything you could wish for from leather goods, jewellery, antiques, Turkish carpets to lots of local produce. The butcher and fish stalls offer amazing value and can tempt even reluctant chefs to experiment.

Kalkan becomes quite magical at night and there are many roof top restaurants to choose - from the sophisticated to the charming and simple. A roof top dining experience overlooking the harbour with its twinkling lights shouldn't be missed - it is surreal!
It is perfect for cultural visits, activities and exploring if you can bear to tear yourself away from the villa and your lovely relaxing surroundings.
