The historic city of Canterbury is 20 mins drive. Ashford has great shopping with the Designer Outlet Centre. The Channel Tunnel is within easy reach for a daytrip to France. Dover Castle and Leeds Castle are not far. Howletts and Port Lympne animal parks are worth a visit and Dymchurch has a lovely sandy beach.
