Shipwrights in the centre of Kingswear is a treasured little cottage and enjoys lovely views across the marina and river Dart over to Dartmouth and the Britannia Royal Naval College. An ideal base to explore the area, with the Dart Valley Trail and the South West Coastal Footpath almost on your doorstep, the beaches of Torbay and the South Hams are close by. Kingswear has a village shop and Post Office and a choice of pubs. Dartmouth is just a short ferry ride away with a great selection of places to eat and shop.
The front door leads into the open plan living area with slate flooring and wood burning stove. The kitchen has painted wooden units with electric oven and hob, fridge with ice box, dishwasher and microwave. The sitting area has comfy seating, wood burning stove, TV with DVD, and a dining table and chairs set by the large window with this view. Upstairs there are two bedrooms both with river views, a double with wrought iron bed and a single with pine bed. Shower room with electric shower, WC and basin.
There is room to stop outside to unload and a car parking pass provided for the Dart Haven Marina Car Park which is only a 2 minute walk away.

The West Country region
Dartmouth a historic maritime port is situated at the mouth of the river Dart. Home to the Britannia Royal Naval College, a commanding building which overlooks the whole town and river. The town has a nautical charm and fascinating history, reflected in its architecture, including the well-known Butterwalk, Bayards Cove. Dartmouth is well known for its choice of excellent restaurants, especially The Seahorse and Rockfish run by celebrity chef, Mitch Tonks. The pretty town streets house a unique collection of galleries and individual shops. Kingswear is on the Eastern side of the estuary overlooking Dartmouth and has a well stocked village shop and Post Office and a selection of pubs. An ideal location for holidays without a car, there are good transport links to Brixham and Torbay. The heritage steam railway runs seasonally to Paignton, following the river and coast. There are passenger and car ferries across to Dartmouth running all year round.
