About the home

Villa Palmeiras has won the Homes Overseas Award for Best Villa on various occasions, and is a unique five bedroom villa beautifully located with stunning views of Parque da Floresta golf course and the rolling countryside.

The large balconies and sun terraces overlook the inviting private pool area, a separate heated Jacuzzi is also located next to the barbecue area. Free wireless internet facilities, plus a games room complete with a 7ft pool/snooker table, sofas, TV, board games, Ipod/iphone docking station, and a games console. Children are particularly welcome at Parque da Floresta and they have a range of professional activity programmes. The nearest beach is Salema, a mere 5 minutes drive and the nearest supermarket is just a short drive away offering a variety of national and International produce.

On the upper level of the property is the spacious open plan lounge with leather sofa's, satellite TV (access to free channels only), a DVD player, Ipod/iphone docking station and wireless internet facilities. The large concertina patio doors open onto a full length balcony with patio furniture, and stunning views of the swimming pool and Parque da Floresta golf course.

The spacious kitchen is well equipped and has granite worktops with integrated appliances including a dishwasher, cooker with hob, microwave and a large fridge freezer with a separate ice maker. The kitchen has a dining table and chairs and opens onto a private balcony with additional dining facilities. There is a separate utility area with a washing machine, tumble dryer and a sink.

The first bedroom is situated on the upper level and is a double configuration, complete with an en suite bathroom consisting of a full sized bath, two sinks, WC and a large walk in shower. There is a fixed digital safe in this bedroom and patio doors lead to a private balcony with patio furniture.
There is a separate WC on the upper level.

The remaining four bedrooms are situated on the ground floor level and consist of a large double bedroom with an en suite bathroom with a full sized bath, WC and a walk in shower. The third bedroom is a twin configuration with an en suite bathroom consisting of a shower cubicle and WC. The fourth room is a further twin bedroom with an en suite bathroom consisting of a separate shower, and WC. The fifth bedroom is a spacious double with an en suite bathroom consisting of a large walk in shower, a stand free bath and WC.
There is an additional bathroom with a walk in shower, WC and sink adjacent to the twin bedrooms.
On this level you will find the spacious games room which consists of a 7ft pool table, a TV with a Playstation Games console, books and games.
All of the downstairs bedrooms lead to the mature gardens and private pool area.

The swimming pool is an infinity type and 12.00m x 5.00m in size with depths of 0.20m -2.20m.
Pool heating is available at a supplement of £250 per week.
Situated next to the pool is a covered area with a heated Jacuzzi Spa.
There is a covered barbecue next to the pool area.
For our guests convenience there are dining facilities for up to 12 people on this lower level.

“Thoroughly recommend this property for group holiday.” The quality and amenities of the property are excellent. Families with very young children should be aware that it is on several levels with staircases and Portugese swimming pools do not require safety protection. Thoroughly recommend it though for old folk like us that can still make it up a flight of stairs and just about swim!

“A fabuluous villa with exceptional facilities well positioned and maintained.” Thoroughly recomend this property. Well maintained, exceptional facilities and well situated for beaches, restaurants and all holiday facilities. Agent for the owners could not have been more thoughtfull and attentive. A holiday at this villa is one to be remembered. Just magical and a dream property with lovely views. Defintiely want to return some day.

“First Class Property, Location and Service” We travelled to this Villa as a group of 4 adults and 5 Children and it was perfect from start to finish. The villa is simply stunning (with great views across the sea), first rate fixtures and fittings and plenty to keep the children and adults entertained for hours. I can not rate Vicky and the teams helpfulness and attention detail. We reported a small electrical issue which was fixed within 20 minutes ! Even after we left the villa, Vicky was happy to help with another issue. I really hope to stay here agin in the future.

“Fabulous Villa, spacious, beautifully furnished to a high standard” We stayed at this villa in August travelling in a large family group of 5 adults and 4 children (aged between 9 and 5). The villa was wonderful and looked exactly like it does in the pictures. It was very spacious (the bedrooms were huge and you really couldn't use all the bathrooms!) and decorated to a very high standard. Everything was beautifully maintained. The highlight for the children was the basement play room with playstation/dvd - we hardly saw them in the evenings! The cleaners were great and you had 3 cleans over the two weeks so the villa always looked spotless. The outside area was fantastic too, plenty of sunbeds, pool towels provided, lovely pool and spa and BBQ area. The pool/maintenance man is on hand to sort out any issues you might have and is very attentive. The management company were superb throughout, from booking to departure and very kindly left us a lovely welcome food pack as our flight arrived so late - very thoughtful. Really couldn't fault it, one of the best villas we have ever stayed in, would thoroughly recommend. We have been to Parque da Floresta before and you do need a car as it is very hilly. The onsite facilities are good, and the surrounding area has some lovely beaches and restaurants if you can drag yourself away from the villa! Portugal can be very windy though so take an extra layer for the evenings. Overall, a fantastic holiday, the highlight being the superb villa...this really is a case of you get what you pay for!!! Would highly recommend.

“Five Star rating sums this villa up perfectly !” We were amazed by the high standards throughout. For keen golfers, this place is a must. The villa has exclusive use of a large pool and a built in Barbecue Area. Fully fitted luxury kitchen, well stocked with utensils, appliances etc and a view to kill for over the Fairway. There is no need to pack the beach towels, they are provided along with plenty of bits and bobs for use around the villa or on the beach. The service you get from Victoria is second to none, nothing is too much trouble . Our stay was a pleasure. This is our 2nd year at this villa and we have already booked for next year. June 2012

“Perfection a little piece of heaven” This was a fabulous s holiday the villa was absolutely wonderful outdid our expectations and the parque de Floresta met everyones requirements.Nothing was too much trouble for anyone from the poolman to Vicky.We would all like to visit again in the near future and the children absolutely adored it.

“superb villa” Splendid villa Parque da Floresta, a nice and peaceful site. No noise or whatsoever. We felt like a king and queen for two weeks. The features we liked best about this villa: * the view on the ocean and surroundings * very well equipped kitchen and neat bathrooms, also clean * a lot of terraces and a huge balcony, with all kinds of possibilities like sun, shade, eating or chilling. Comfortable chairs and sunbeds as well * Although it can be windy in PDF, the pool and most terraces are strategically placed and protected from wind. Only a light breeze can be felt most of the time, which is actually good when temperatures are high. * The pool itself is quite large and most of the time in the sun. It was too chilly for our daughter (15 months), but for a plunge it's OK. It's possible to heat, but we used the heated jacuzzi instead. It's located in the shadow most of the time and quite spacious. Heated permanently without additional costs * Bedrooms are nice and cool, because they are not in the direct sun and 4 of 5 of them are not situated at the top level of the villa. * a gaming room with pooltable is the topping on the ice * surroundings are nice, especially beaches at the west coast. A couple of villages are close, like salema, lagos and sagres Things we did not like: * the beds are pretty small (and a bit stiff, but that's a matter of taste) * a car is necessary as from the villa to the entrance of the parc it's already 2.5 km! At that point there is just a roundabout and you need to travel further to reach some restaurants or whatever. We knew this beforehand (well not that it was exactly 2,5 km, but we did know that is was quite far), but still we missed a bit that walking for a couple of minutes gets you to "something"

“The best place to stay ever” This was our second continuous year in a row and we have already booked for next year, we love this villa, the Sun and Golf Rep is amazing, nothing is too much trouble, we feel safe there with our children. There is 10 of us and we do not feel like we are leaving in each others pockets, loads of space, lots to do, cant wait to go back. Book this villa and you will not be disappointed.
