About the home

Villa Sereia is a private, luxury, air conditioned 7 bedroom fully detached villa with large heated pool & garden designed to cater for your holiday needs in mind. Its ability to split into 3 independent apartments makes it perfect for any size group.

With it's own large L shape private heated pool, the shallow end is perfect for the children and a diving board for the more adventurous. Leading from the living room is a spacious covered balcony with BBQ and outside bar furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco, or just to relax with a cool glass of wine or beer unwinding those stresses away.

At villa Sereia every one is catered for. The teenagers have the swimming pool, table tennis and a pool table (unfortunately pool table out of action for remainder 2011 due to damage - will be back online 2012). For the younger ones there is tv, play station, dvd, the pool, a swing and lots of grass to kick a ball or run around.
With maid service and good value for money restaurants locally that leaves the grown ups to do ---- nothing but play with the kids or just lay back and suck up the sun rays.

With three twin bedrooms and one double en suite downstairs and three doubles upstairs, the villa is ideal for large families that wish to stay together but still have privacy and space, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay. For instance golf, horse riding, water parks, Zoo Marine Dolfins, Go Karting, jet skiing, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, cultural visits (castles, churches, ruins) it's endless and after that, well back to the villa and relax. (It is a hard life!)

Villa Sereia is located just two minutes drive from the beach, on the outskirts of a quaint fishing village called Olhos De Agua. Quiet and peaceful, yet only five minutes from the well known larger resort Albufeira, with the best night life in Portugal. The villa has easy access to all amenities. Not to mention Lisbon the capital is only 2.5 hours drive away or Spain 1.5 hours away.

Although the area has become very popular, the traditional fishing community has survived and you can still buy fresh fish from its fish market or just pop down to one of its fantastic restaurants and enjoy the sea air, amazing views and great food at affordable prices.

Villa Sereia was designed and built around the needs of families on holiday. For example, although it is a 7 bedroom villa we recognise that up to 16 people living together for 14 nights can become challenging! So villa Sereia has catered for this by providing 3 separate totally independent living areas.

The upstairs part of the villa has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a well lit open plan kitchen/dining room/sitting room with open log fire.
Outside it has its own terrace with sunbeds.

There is an internal staircase that can be opened or locked and an independent external stairs should it be required. It has its own front door and large open terrace with BBQ, table and chairs, sun beds etc.

Downstairs you find a three bedroom, two bathroom apartment with separate large sitting room with leather sofas and large modern marble log fire. Dining room and kitchen with ice making American fridge/freezer, dishwasher washing machine and all modern amenities.

In addition, the downstairs has another separate double room, which is classed as a studio which has its own en-suite shower and kitchenette. It has its own front door, but also an integral connection to the downstairs which can be opened or locked.

As you can see Villa Sereia is flexible and lends itself to a variety of different circumstances. It can also accommodate 2 smaller independent groups, 1 upstairs and 1 group downstairs only sharing the pool and grounds making it affordable. (see our rates for groups of 4 and 8).

Villa Sereia is situated on a large fully detached plot in a residential resort walking distance to 2 restaurants and local shops. It proudly boasts four large palm trees that provide great shade for young children to play and shelter from the strong midday sun or to sleep away that great piri-piri BBQ and a couple of bottles of cold beer laying on a cool stretch of grass.

If you're feeling energetic then try the outside table tennis which is great fun for all ages. The game is played with wooden rackets and tennis balls (rackets provided). The rules of table tennis can apply.

The L shape swimming pool is an entertaining centre all on its own. It has a diving board with a 3.5 m depth leading up to a shallow end of 0.75m. The L shape starts at 0.75m to 0.4m making this part perfect for very young children or not so confident swimmers.

After your swim or a visit to the beach you may like to rinse off under the outside shower before retiring to the sun beds with a cold drink.

The grounds are bordered by shrubs and fences with gates. This will provide peace of mind when the children are running around the grounds or playing on the swings.

The main BBQ is under the large covered arched terrace with French doors leading to both dining and sitting room. It has its own outside bar and small fridge. This is ideal to show off those cooking skills and entertain your friends.

• The villa is provided with maid service three times a week .

• A gardener and pool attendant will visit daily, early in the morning to ensure high standards are kept.

• There are no hidden extras to pay for.

Conditions

• Refundable breakages deposit of £500 required with balance to be refunded within two weeks of your
return (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

• A non-refundable £50 per person deposit is due at time of booking.

• Full balance 12 weeks before departure.

• All cancellations must be received in writing no later than 8 weeks before departure. 50% of final balance will
be refunded.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

The Algarve is the most southern province of Portugal, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on the South and West coast, with mountains to the North and Spain to the East.

Its fantastic coastline boasts more than 150 miles of golden beaches punctuated by rugged and bizarre rock formations and dazzling coves of transparent blue lagoon water that is hard to find anywhere else in Europe.

Scattered along the coast line you will discover the proverbial "SLEEPY FISHING VILLAGES" some of which have developed into bustling holiday resorts such as Albufeira.

Despite Algarve's popularity, the Portuguese have successfully retained much of their traditional character. Even in the most popular resorts the beaches are strewn with brightly coloured fishing boats and the fishermen still work on their nets.

A drive in-land rewards you with a completely different view with genuine unspoilt towns and villages, with old castles and churches.

The Algarve is one of the sunniest locations in Europe, with over 3,000 sunshine hours / year. The summers can be hot, but there is usually a refreshing breeze. Spring and Autumn is an ideal time for outdoor pursuits, such as golfing, biking, walking. The winters are mild and very often sunny, ideal for long stays retired holiday makers make good use of the reduced rates at this time of year call for more information, but do expect a few rainy days here and there between October and March.

The Albufeira / Olhos d'Agua area

Olhos De Agua is in an ideal location. Geographically central on the Algarve your never too far from all the amenities, ie Albufeira, Algarve shopping complex, Algoz, Almancil go-karting and all of the tourist theme parks, ie Zoo Marine, Aqualand, Slide and Splash, Krazy Golf, Villamoura 5 Golf courses and many more golf courses.

Glorious beaches such as Valencia, Praia dos Tomates and Maria Luisa. Albufeira has many bars and restaurants of a variety of nationalities to suit all tastes. For nightlife lovers Albufeira and Montchoro are a must, as you can party until the early hours.

Both Albufeira and Vilamoura marinas are nearby and are worth a visit. Vilamoura offers daytrips on Catamarans as well as shopping and Casino.

The Moorish town of Silves is a quick drive inland where you can visit the Castle and take a tour of the Cork Factory.

Alto is a quaint traditional unspoilt village up in the mountains, 25 minutes drive away, which offers picturesque views and excellent restaurants.

There are a wide variety of airlines available flying to Faro airport (approx. 40 minute drive) ie British Airways, TAP, Easyjet, Ryanair, Flymonarch, search companies such as Opodo will provide you with a wide variety of searches...

For alternative travel routes you may like to explore Seville or Lisbon airport, both approximately 2.5 hours drive to the villa and can be much cheaper.

Car hire: Once again a large variety of car hire companies such as Hertz and Holiday Autos are available.

This villa was exactly as described peaceful, relaxing but just a taxi ride from the strip or the old town and more importantly a home from home.My family and i,there were 10 of us age 17 to70 had a brilliant week this villa was clean bright and was big enough for us all to do just what we wanted and not forgetting the pool which was big,clean and great for a swim or to just cool off.I would certainly recommend this villa to friends,family and hope to go back myself with other family members in the future.

We choose this location and villa for a special joint birthday celebration for all the family and close friends,we needed space and a variety in activities..the villa offered all this.The villa had plenty of room with home luxuries,was kept very clean and offered modern facilities which added to a very enjoyable stay...Albuferia old and new offered something for everyone, we enjoyed the old town with its old square and live music with great resturants whilst our younger adults enjoyed the clubs and music of the new town..The beach was very nice and clean without being to commerialised.
The Villa is ideal for large groups as we found with 13 of us staying,we would recommend to others and will probably use again ourselves..Price was very reasonable and booking was made easy by Jose as well as transfers and car hire that again was sorted out for us..
The only down side to the villa location was that you did need car hire as not many bars or shops within walking distance.

A very enjoyable holiday for all of us.
