“Totally relaxing” We enjoyed a great week in this converted barn which was close enough to the main visitors sites in the Dordogne but secluded enough to allow us to relax in the evening as the sun went down over the fields.Karen and Steve were great

“Beautiful spot” Lovely spot - good location for getting around and visiting the Dordogne. Hospitable hosts. The cottages were adorable - and although hosts were available to help out it also allowed for privacy.

    Fabulous Cottage

A lovely Cottage that is a perfect base to explore the beautiful Dordogne. Our 3 kids loved the pool and the garden and loved the holiday. We all had the best time and having such a great cottage to come home to made all the difference. Would love to stay here again. … see more
    The Old Barn
Rural retreat, ideal for exploring the Dordogne.

We received a warm welcome, a gift of fresh eggs and wine and good advice about local amenities, the nearby boulangerie, supermarket, petrol and places to eat nearby. The converted barn is surprisingly spacious with all you need and we enjoyed the sunset view across fields to a chateau. The location is quiet but within walking distance of the village. There is so much to do and see in the area, beautiful gardens overlooking the river, chateaux, hill towns, fascinating cave dwellings, canoeing, towns to explore. We realised a week is not long enough and would certainly like to return. see more
    Sunset Cottage
    Amazing stay

Dear Karen Steve and Family ... and of course Scooby Thank you so much for your warm welcome and hospitality, we have had the most amazing stay at Sunset.. Steve really ensured we were able to maximise our short stay (too short, we'll have to come back) His knowledge of the area is far superior than any guide book. Our highlights have been Rouffignac Market, taking Scooby on our morning walks, Beynac and Cazenac, La Roque Gageac boat trip, Sarlat market and the most amazing burger and chips (yes really!!), fresh eggs from the hens, the sunset, Domme beautiful village with incredible views of the Dordogne, St Leon Sur Vezere, picture postcard with amazing pizza restaurant. Rouffignac boucherie, fillet steak to die for, amazing on the BBQ. Why we'll be back: Location, hosts, Scooby, scenery. What we missed out on: Local snack bar on the corner, canoeing, Rocamadour, St Cyprien and LOADS more. Thank you so much! see more
