Welcome to our lovingly restored holiday cottages. At the end of a quiet lane, nestled on the side of a valley, there is no traffic, no noise and no distractions. Newly decorated and furnished, they have a bright and light feel, while still retaining some of the original oak beams and woodwork. Further details indoors

One of two cottages, a really cute, recently renovated barn. It sleeps 2, so would suit a couple or a family with a young child. Situated on the side of the valley, the views from the terrace overlooking the valley and the chateau are truly beautiful.
The property includes one double bedroom, with a double bed. A fully equipped open plan kitchen and dining area, together with a TV (UK satellite and French TV). Both the living area and the bedroom open out onto a terrace overlooking the valley, where you can sit and enjoy alfresco dining. Originally a barn, renovated in 2012, so newly decorated and furnished, the cottage is fresh and bright, but still retains some of its rustic charm with original oak beams and woodwork.
Ideally situated, the cottage is close to all the main site seeing attractions at Sarlat, Les Eyzies, Perigueux, Beynac and Domme but its peaceful location also offers the perfect ‘get away from it' all holiday.

Rouffignac-Saint-Cernin-de-Reilhac

“Beautiful spot”

Reviewed 22 Feb 2016

Lovely spot - good location for getting around and visiting the Dordogne. Hospitable hosts. The cottages were adorable - and although hosts were available to help out it also allowed for privacy.

Thank you for writing about your stay with us. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the peace and quiet. Thanks again. Karen and Steve

“Rural retreat, ideal for exploring the Dordogne.”

Reviewed 3 Sep 2015

We received a warm welcome, a gift of fresh eggs and wine and good advice about local amenities, the nearby boulangerie, supermarket, petrol and places to eat nearby. The converted barn is surprisingly spacious with all you need and we enjoyed the sunset view across fields to a chateau. The location is quiet but within walking distance of the village. There is so much to do and see in the area, beautiful gardens overlooking the river, chateaux, hill towns, fascinating cave dwellings, canoeing, towns to explore. We realised a week is not long enough and would certainly like to return.

Thank you for writing about your stay. Lots of people are in agreement with you, there is so much to do, one week is not long enough. Hopefully we'll see you again sometime soon, so that you can get to do the things you didn't have time to this summer. Thanks again. Kindest regards Karen and Steve

“Comfortable accommodation in stunning location”

Reviewed 21 Nov 2014

We had a wonderful time at the Old Barn. The location is perfect, being close to many of the region's fascinating and beautiful sites, on the edge of the pretty and interesting village and a short walk away from the local supermarket and snack bar. The weather was such that we were always able to eat outside, looking over the fields, with a herd of beautiful cattle to entertain us and the evocative turrets of the local chateau rising out of the trees, just as it appears on the website. The bed and sofa are very comfortable and the shower room, though tiny is adequate. Karen and Steve were very helpful, even taking in our washing when there was a sudden storm. All in all a really good stay.

Thank you for writing about your stay with us. Its great to hear that you enjoyed your holiday. Kindest regards Karen and Steve

“Just what we had in mind”

Reviewed 22 Dec 2013

We loved our stay at the old barn; it offered us exactly what we were looking for - peaceful surroundings, privacy, convenience to local shops and friendly owners. Karen and Steve were superb and made us feel very welcome and were always there if we needed anything without being intrusive. The Old Barn itself had the equipment and facilities we needed and we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Thank you for taking a moment to write about your holiday, we really appreciate it and it's great for future guests to read comments from our previous guests. Thanks again. Kind regards Karen and Steve
