Welcome to our beautiful holiday home - the perfect place to explore York and it's surrounding areas.  

The holiday home has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a stylish open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area and parking for 2 cars. 

We have furnished our home to the highest standard and added lots of extra touches in order to provide our guests with a place they will want to come back to again and again. We are sure you will feel perfectly at home here. Free Wi-fi!

Situated in a quiet residential area just 8-10 minutes walk away (we have timed it!) from the historic city of York, the house could not be in a better location. From just round the corner of the house you can take a walk by the river Ouse, over Skeldergate bridge and you will be in the city in no time at all. 

The beauty of this location is that it offers you easy access to all of the city's attractions as well as having a quiet retreat to return to at the end of the day. Being slightly away from the city centre, there is no passing traffic near the house so we can guarantee you a good nights sleep during your stay so you can recharge your batteries for the following day! 

Bishopthorpe Road is just at the top of the street - winner of "The Best British High Street 2015" award. On this charming street you will find pubs serving traditional ales, coffee shops, restaurants, bakers, grocery stores, deli's and takeaways as well as specialist shops. 

If you are travelling as a family you will appreciate beautiful Rowntree Park which is only a 5 minute walk away. Here you will find plenty to keep the children entertained for a few hours including 2 play areas, basketball courts, duck pond, skate park, tennis courts and the lovely Rowntree Park Reading Café.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Caroline (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Caroline (the owner) a message.

If Caroline (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
