Description

Relax with a morning coffee on the sunny, sheltered and private waterside decking area of Yare Cottage while planning your activities for the day and enjoying the views of the River Bure. Or perhaps make the most of the private fishing rights available to Peninsula holidaymakers by dangling a fishing line into the water on this tranquil side of the cottage overlooking the marina. For a change of pace, have fun watching the comings and goings of hire cruisers and sightseeing tour boats from the other side of Yare Cottage.

Yare Cottage was refurbished throughout in January 2019 to provide high quality holiday accommodation with an excellent standard of comfort and decoration. Double glazed throughout. Yare Cottage sleeps six guests in two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom.

Spacious open plan lounge/dining area/kitchen with:

Electric hob and oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge and separate freezer.

Freeview TV and DVD player together with a Playstation 2 in the lounge area.

DAB radio with Bluetooth/iPod dock.

Upstairs family bathroom with power shower over full-sized bath, mirror, light and shaver point over sink, w.c. Downstairs cloakroom.

The bedrooms are beautifully furnished, each having a wardrobe, bedside tables, drawers and waterside views. One of the double bedrooms has a Juliet balcony overlooking the Peninsula Marina.

The cottage is heated by efficient electric heaters throughout and a modern fire in the open plan lounge, perfect for relaxing in front of after a busy day enjoying all that this region has to offer, whether it's sightseeing in the fine city of Norwich, enjoying a day on the beautiful coast or the fun of a day's boating.

Free car parking is provided for two cars directly in front of the property. Electricity is included in the holiday price and pets (two well behaved) are £20 each!

Getting around

With its excellent transport links, Wroxham is well served by local buses and trains making getting to either the coast or the city of Norwich by public transport a pleasure. Hoveton & Wroxham station is a 10 minute level walk away from Yare Cottage and it is just two stops into Norwich on The Bittern Line which can also take you north to the coastal towns of Cromer and Sheringham.

Keys will be available via a key safe at the property. The code for the key safe will be emailed to you four weeks before your holiday start date. In the event of any problems while on holiday, my contact details will be provided as your holiday approaches and I also have my housekeeping and maintenance team available locally.

Lovely place. Would highly recommend it especially if you like fishing. Very clean and tidy place. We lived the welcome pages get.

“Excellent cottage and surroundings”

The broads is a wonderful and peaceful place to stay, looking out over the water in a quiet area away slightly from the boats on the river, my husband loved the fishing, we are fairly local and have our own boat moored at potter heigham and with permission from the owner we were able to moor this right outside the cottage. A day boat would be great for people staying in the cottage as it is wonderful to see the wildlife and is so peaceful a slow moving escape for many people's busy lives. The cottage was very clean and was so well equipped it may me feel like I was at home, I can't think of a single thing that wasn't there.

Yare Cottage is a very well equipped cottage right on the river in Wroxham. We didn't have very good weather, but every time we returned to the cottage it felt cosy and homely. There is ample parking and all that Wroxham has to offer is easily accessible from this site. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. I would recommend this Cottage to anyone and look forward to staying here again.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Julie (the owner) a message.

If Julie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
