Location, location, location!
Our luxurious holiday home 'Stay' at Widemouth Bay is situated in Madeira Drive, being a quiet no-through road, directly opposite the main entrance to the beach.
Ideally situated in this spectacular coastal village, Madeira Drive is the closest road to the beach, the local stores and the award-winning Bay View Inn.
Having recently been fully refurbished, Stay is a modern bungalow of spacious proportions that accommodates up to 7 people in comfort.
The property is fitted-out to a high standard and its open-plan layout keeps its guests united during their stay.
The bright, sunny lounge contains comfortable leather sofas, and entertainment is provided by way of a large screen TV, DVD player and Wii console supported by a good selection of movies and games.
There's a CD player with iPod dock for those wanting to bring their own music, and free unlimited high-speed wireless broadband throughout.
The modern high-gloss kitchen is well appointed with an induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher, along with a full compliment of cooking pans and utensils.
The adjacent utility room features a supersize sink with spray tap for washing out your beach gear, together with a washing machine, tumble dryer and drying racks.
For those arriving with little ones, Stay is equipped with a travel cot and bedding, high-chair, plastic crockery / cutlery and baby monitor to save you bringing those bulky yet essential items with you.
Stay has 3 comfortable bedrooms.
The south-facing master bedroom is home to a comfortable Super King size bed, with crisp white Egyptian cotton linen and sliding doors that lead out onto the patio area. It has its own en-suite bathroom with high-pressure shower.
The master bedroom is also furnished with a widescreen TV.
Bedroom 2 has twin 3' beds, and bedroom 3 contains sturdy 3' bunk-beds in addition to a separate 3' bed. Again all beds are dressed in crisp Egyptian cotton linen.
A full compliment of towels (including beach towels) are provided.
Facing directly south, Stay's private and fully enclosed rear garden is a perfect sun-trap. Its sizeable patio and upper deck area make for some great outdoor living, with a range of outdoor furniture and gas BBQ being provided.
Stay has its own off-road parking area for 2 vehicles, with further parking being available directly in front of the property.

The accommodation was amazing. It had everything we needed plus more. The location is a two minute walk from the beach. A great 10 days spent in paradise.

From the moment we stepped into Stay, we felt like we was in a home from home. The house had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Little touches go a long way and Emma definitely has that right. I think the beds maybe the most comfy I have slept in which is a real bonus. If you are thinking of visiting widemouth bay, I would highly recommend 'Stay'.

“Wonderful, wonderful holiday”
This house is not a house, it is a home and everything in the house reflects this. When we arrived the house was spotlessly clean, all towels supplied, beds ready so all we wanted was a shower. A welcome pack on the table as well!. Even my wife did not question the cleanliness, and that is something!. We all enjoyed the scones and clotted cream. We all had a very enjoyable week. These very big and little things well made our stay great. Will definitely try and come back next year.

“Beautiful house in a perfect location”
This house has it all! From 3 bathrooms, kitchen with everything to the most comfortable super king bed in the master bedroom. Nice extra touches also like scones & wine on arrival, baby equipment, lots of games, beach towels etc. House is very close to the beach & although it doesn't have a each view, it's still a great location. Had a fabulous stay at Stay.

“Best of all worlds - sea, sand, rocks, country, house and garden”
We are a family of five ranging from teenager to young son. The area and property are well described and well presented. Parking easy - we arrived on the August bank holiday weekend. Good use of space and well equipped house with decent garden. The owners provide useful information and a pleasant welcoming touch. It feels as if they genuinely care that people will enjoy their home. Despite variable weather there was never a dull moment. The area is well frequented but not over-busy. Dining out may require patience or booking early and there is enough choice to go somewhere different each day. We enjoyed eating in the house using the excellent facilities. There is a gadget for everything! When the big TV with DVD and Wii is on occupying the kids and mum is well into one of the many jig-saws provided dad would creep out into the back garden to read and sip on a glass of wine on the warm sheltered patio. Beds were clean and comfortable - not too soft - and one of the bathrooms has an installed TV with floor lights (much to the delight of my older daughter). I guess a good place to unwind in the bath with a bottle of champagne (but no such luck with our kids around!). The beach is very easy to get to (just take care when crossing the road) and the rock pools are fantastic. Opportunities for photography and crabbing in between jumping/surfing the waves. BBQ possible on the beach if weather permits. Pleasant local walks. Bude easy to get to where there are several supermarkets and other eateries. Would go again.

“Fantastic house, fantastic holiday”
Having frequently been camping in the Bude area, hiring a propery was a step up for us in luxury. Stay did not disappoint. We had a brilliant time and thoroughly enjoyed the using the excellent facilities which suited ideally our party's mixture of ages and interests. The modern, open plan layout really works well with a excellently equipped kitchen integrated into a dining area and the living-room space. Cooking, eating and relaxing were never a chore! The bedrooms were very comfortable, adequately spacious and the toilets and bathrooms were spotless and sleek. With the property being only 2 minutes from Widemouth beach, we did a lot of surfing and body boarding. Rinsing and drying wetsuits wwas easy with a hanging area in the utility room. It was sign of how comfortable, active and occupied we were that the TV and Wii were barely used ... A great property in a great location.

“Home from home! Fantastic”
We had a great time at Widemouth bay, the house was amazing, we were really comfortable and the children were well catered for. The welcoming cream tea and bottle of wine went down a treat! The garden was a great bonus, we had somewhere to chill out while the children did what they wanted to do, we didn't need to be out all the time, the house was a bit of a holiday too! Emma had thought of everything! The location was great too, didn't need a car some days which is exactly what we wanted. Thoroughly recommended!

“Fantastic house in a great location”
We stayed with our two boys (4 and 6) and grandparents during the last week of May 2014. The house was immaculate throughout with very high quality finishes. The open plan kitchen/dining/living area was bright and spacious and a really pleasant space in which to spend time. The kitchen was spotless and well equipped with appliances, crockery and utensils, and an adjoining utility room had a washing machine, dryer and plenty of space for hanging wetsuits and beach gear. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all nice and spacious, and again, spotless. Plenty of towels and bedding was available, along with beach towels. There is also a large outside table and benches on the rear patio, which we found to be a nice sun trap and good place to eat. The house is a couple of minutes’ walk from the beach which was one of the main attractions when we decided to book. Driving into Bude took around 5 minutes. Overall, we were all very pleased with our holiday and would book again. The wine and cream teas waiting for us when we arrived were also a nice (and welcome!) touch.
