This designated area of outstanding natural beauty is chacterised by its spectacular coastline, fens and marshland undulating through Norfolk and Suffolk. The landscape has been shaped by nature and agriculture and has long been renowned for its picturesque countryside and stunning coastlines. The rivers Stour & Nene have been the back drop for many of John Constable's paintings, red clay roof tiles tell of Dutch influence in local architecture. This beautiful countryside has become a tourist hot spot in recent years, with its abundance of historic, quirky flint-clad villages, gourmet food, and country market towns including Cambridge, Great Yarmouth, Sheringham and, of course, Wells-next-the-sea.

“Great little cottage right by the harbour and central to all the shops”

Reviewed 24 Jul 2016

Ideal for a family, perfect location for everything you need. Is right next to the childrens play area - which is fine for small children, but can get a little noisy if you don't! Cute bedrooms, top floor great for teenagers - just watch out for the REALLY small and steep staircase. Would recommend this cottage and would definitely stay again
