“Perfect holidays”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2012

We´ve got a great time in Vietri. Aparment was very nice. There was everything we needed. Bedrooms were big, many space for our clothes. The best part of apartment was terase. We love it! The view was beautiful! Even there was a lot of booklets and brochures about places where you can go (Vesuvius, Paestum, Pompei, Capri,...) and other information about trips around Vietri. I recommend to go to the beach called La Crestarella, it´s closest beach to the apartment - magical atmosphere, we have many beautiful photos from there. Communication with Bianca was great, with no problems. She gave us every information we asked. Thanks :-)

“Elegant, spacious appartment with stunning views!!”

We stayed for 4 weeks and didn't want to go home!! The apartment is in a great location on the outskirts of the village (10mins walk or you can take the bus) and a short walk to the beaches. We found it the perfect location to stay whilst exploring the Amalfi Coast, We took the train, boats and buses it was so easy and Bianca's apartment is a wonderful retreat at the end of a long busy day. We spent happy hours sitting in the balcony eating, drinking, watching the world float by and planning our next trip. There are may good restaurants in the village our favorite was Evu, We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the village and found everything we needed in the small shops (Grocer, Fishmonger Butchers etc) away from the main square, everyone was friendly and helpful and found our attempts at speaking Italian highly amusing! Alberto was only a text away if we needed him, Thank you for the lift to the station, we were also grateful for the bags of beautiful Amalfi Lemons he left on our door step, we made our own Lemoncello. The next time we visit the Amalfi Coast we will defiantly stay Bianca's apartment .....Acquamarina.

“Spacious, comfortable, good value”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2011

To our surprise, our twenty-something sons wanted to come with us for the first time for years (the lure of a cheap holiday). We wanted somewhere in the Sorrento or Amalfi area, without paying a large sum, and Acquamarina gave us more space than we could get in any other village or town. One double bedroom is huge, another is smallish for a double, and there is a single room. The terrace is vast, with spectacular views south east over the Med. The living room and dining room are also a good size. The apartment is 10 very steep minutes' walk to the village; and 5 steep minutes from the (paying) beach and marina. Once you get the hang of the local bus services this isn't much of a problem, and it's easy enough to travel to Salerno and on around the mnay sights of the area (Naples, Amalfi, Pompeii, etc.). Vietri itself has no supermarket, just a few shops. Restaurant prices vary greatly, from a wonderful value pizza-place at the marina, to an expensive place by the chaotic junction in the village (Ristorente Vera Cucina, where the bill was, shall we say, inaccurately made out). We found Bianca very helpful; and we much appreciated the lift from Alberto. One day we may return to see the sights we missed, and we will defintely stay here again.

“Great terrace and real Italian holiday experience”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2011

The outdoor terrace was great. It was >30 degrees and really sunny every day so we spent all our time on the terrace. There are lovely views of the sea, and you can also just see the cresterella beach. Unfortunately we didn't get to visit that beach as it was full the 2 days we were going to go there - we went to 2 others in the marina instead. The club with yellow umbrellas at the marina is probably the best one. We hardly saw anyone who spoke english in Vietri Sul Mare but that was fine. It seems to be a place for Italians to spend their holiday. Only had a few problems trying to explain how much salami/ham we wanted from the lady at a nearby food shop - I tried on 2 different days and she seemed to get a bit exasperated. As it was very hot we didnt do much sightseeing. We went to Pompeii & saw the excavations. We also caught a ferry to Capri from Salerno, seeing the Amalfi coast towns along the way. It was worth it just for the ferry ride and Capri was also pretty. We visited the blue grotto, which was fun. Half the spectacle is watching the crazy guys operating the row boats that get you in and out of the grotto. We cooked most nights at the apartment and ate out at the marina a few times and once in the town. The food seemed consistent, cheap and pretty good. Food was cheap to buy in the local shops. Overall we had a great time and recommend highly to others.
