Set in a quiet no through lane, Mill Cottage has a particularly lovely setting, with the Solva River to the fore and bluebell woods behind. Continue along the lane and you'll reach the foreshore, less than 100m from Mill Cottage. At low tide, there is direct access to Solva's sand beach, or you can stroll along the harbour edge to the quay. The Pembrokeshire National Coast Path is within 50m. The pretty Main Street, with its array of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants is less than a minutes walk across the river. This perfect location, one of the most desirable in Solva, makes Mill Cottage a fantastic place for a break in beautiful Pembrokeshire. To take advantage of the views, and to enjoy the garden backing onto the woods, the cottage has an open plan living area upstairs with patio doors leading to the garden. Peaceful and idyllic, the garden is a lovely spot for al fresco dining or a drink watching the sun set over Moelfryn, listening to the river. The kitchen is modern and well equipped, and the seating area has oak furniture and comfortable leather sofas around a cosy open fire. Downstairs, there is a comfortable double bedroom, a room with bunk beds and a bathroom with bath and power shower over. We are pleased that Mill Cottage has it's own parking right next to the cottage; we want your holiday to be completely stress free. There is plenty to do in Solva - browse the shops and galleries, enjoy views from the excellent cafes, and sample an evening in one of the friendly pubs. The quay is a magnet for all ages; crabbing off the quay wall is a family favourite, with jumping off the wall for the more adventurous. It's great harbour to explore on kayaks, you can learn to sail or just sit and enjoy the atmosphere. 3 miles away you'll find St David's, with it's famous cathedral and Bishops Palace. Within 10 minutes drive, the Blue Flag award beaches of Newgale and Whitesands can be reached, popular spots for surfing, wind kites, canoe and kayaks or a walk along a long sandy stretch at the waters edge.

"Comfortable cottage in lovely location"
Mill Cottage is well equipped and comfortable. The kitchen/living room being on the first floor gives views over the river to the front, and garden and woods to the rear. The coastal path is easily accessed on foot from the cottage, as are three good pubs in Solva itself and one in Upper Solva. There is also an excellent café and the Boat Club on the quay also serves teas, ice cream etc. There are several galleries in Solva and interesting shops to potter in. St Davids is a short drive away and worth visiting for its Cathedral. Newport, also nearby, is pretty and has good walking along the estuary. There are glorious beaches at Whitesands and Newgale. Worth taking a boat trip to Ramsey Island, owned by the RSPB, to see Seals. Dolphins can be seen from the clifs at Strumble Lighthouse.

"Fantastic location, lovely cottage"
We were looking for a nice cottage, with room for a 7- and a 10-year-old to have fun, within walking distance of the beach and a pub or two. Mill Cottage gave us all this and more. Being on a dead-end road, with a kids' playground visible from the garden and the harbour and beach virtually on the doorstep was great. The cottage is lovely - living room/kitchen upstairs makes the most of the views - and Phil was really kind and helpful. Lots of do in this beautiful area too. We'll be back.
