Seaside Hideaway is wonderful quirky apartment down a short flight of steps on the south side of Scarborough with all the facilities that you could need.

Hidden down a few steps, with a great garden terrace with wood fired hot tub overlooking a wonderful green space. Seaside hideaway is only a short walk from the cliffs, beach and town.

Located only 15 minutes walk from the beach, Scarborough town centre, Stephen Joseph theatre, the restaurant and café district of Victoria Road and only 15 minutes walk from Scarborough train station.

Situated on a quiet road with ample free parking right outside. Seaside hideaway is the perfect place for a long weekend or a 1–2 week family holiday. It is also the perfect place to position yourself for business trips.

The accommodation consists of a very spacious bedroom with a king sized bed, silent night mattress and crisp cotton sheets with 43” television, hairdryer and soft ambient lighting. It can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 16 comfortably.

The extra beds for the children consist of a double sofa bed and a single sofa bed. The bedroom looks out onto a block paved courtyard with wood fired hot tub and onto the Oriel cricket ground below. With a feeling of space and plenty of light Seaside Hideaway is the perfect place to return to after a busy day sightseeing or on the beach.

In the accommodation there is a modern dining area with patio doors opening on to the courtyard. All the crockery, utensils and linen (including towels) are provided for you so that your holiday on the stunning North Yorkshire Coast is as relaxed and easy as possible. Relax, put your feet up and enjoy the seaside air.

In the kitchen area is a dishwasher, fridge freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, freestanding counter top oven, microwave and 2 ring induction hob.

So, why should you visit Scarborough? The beautiful coastal town of Scarborough has been a popular holiday destination for centuries. In fact it was Britain’s first seaside resort, famous for it’s spa waters. Scarborough Spa is only 15 minutes walk away from seaside hideaway (Please don’t try and drink the water, it is no longer drinkable) Scarborough has 2 beautiful bays, north bay with the fantastic Peasholm Park jump on a boat and meander around the lake. In the summer season you can watch the smallest Navy re-enact the battle of the river Plate. Also, in the North Bay is Alpamare water park and spa, the sea life centre and the open air theatre with fantastic Acts throughout the year. You can take the open top bus from the South Bay to North Bay taking in the scenery along the way. We often have visiting Dolphins and porpoises swimming close to the beach.

In the south bay there is plenty to entertain all ages including the Rotunda Museum, the Spa theatre, the ancient castle, working harbour and of course the amusement arcades. Grab your fish and chips and your ice cream have a walk to see the light house or perhaps a paddle in the sea. Whatever you do it is bound to be a fantastic stay full of memories.

Why can't I call Jim (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Jim (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jim (the owner) a message.

If Jim (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
