You will have an ocean view from your bedroom. Your room is in a relaxed setting, the back of a private complex on the highest hill in the neighborhood, allowing for ample breeze and a beautiful view. The beach is only a 5 block walk away. Beautiful mountain view from the other side of the apartment & from the kitchen.
The apartment is in the Ocean Park area of Santa Monica, which is much less crowded than the downtown area and you have access to Main Street Santa Monica, which has local (non-chain) excellent food options, trendy design shops, and many yoga studios and health food options (wheatgrass anyone?). Main Street has a Sunday farmer’s market and a Tuesday food truck event, and Abbott Kinney has a first Friday of each month huge food truck event. And the beach is just a 5 block walk down the hill!
Third Street Promenade and its movie theatres is only a walk away as well. You can take a longer walk to Abbott Kinney, the “hippest street in America” according to GQ. There is a free local shuttle (large golf cart) accessible to those staying in Santa Monica that takes visitors to the various beach hip spots as well.
The apartment has been fully redone by a local designer and repainted with no-VOC paint. Fully furnished with new furniture, including a Queen bed and Queen pull-out sofa; Sony Bravia (Ultra HD) TV with Fios internet, HBO, Showtime, cable, Netflix, Hulu all provided; and a fully equipped kitchen including a Nespresso coffee & espresso machine (George Clooney not provided), blender, toaster and silicone utensils. On-street parking is free and private garage parking is available for an additional amount.
Apartment has high-end water filtration system, so showers are super clean and pure. (Beyond O2 system). Portable air con unit is available for additional charge, but we're 5 blocks from the beach and get great breeze, especially at night.
