'Absolutely breathtaking' are the only words to describe the experience one typically encounters on the short drive to this beautiful home from the Reno Tahoe International Airport. Situated halfway between downtown Reno and Lake Tahoe at nearly 4,000 feet in elevation within the peaceful and secluded tree line of Mount Rose, the convenient location just off Mt. Rose Highway (Route 431) offers the absolute best in everything the area has to offer from an extremely convenient location.

The home is situated among a beautiful national forest on more than a half-acre of land within the prestigious Galena Forest Estates neighborhood next to two of southwest Reno's most sought after neighborhoods, St. James Village and Montreux. The back of the property offers a large private deck with a hot tub and freestanding dry sauna directly bordering the Toiyabe National Forest and thereby creating an extremely tranquil and peaceful mountain experience from deep within the Sierra Nevadas. The natural landscape features numerous large pines, blue spruces, and other native high desert and mountain vegetation as well as a small man-made pond in the front yard among the lush lawn.

This ranch style mountain home offers approximately 2,009 square feet of indoor living space with 4 distinct bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in a nicely laid out floor plan. The master bedroom is located at the back (right) corner of the house with direct access to the back deck through a large sliding glass door. A bedroom at the front (right) corner of the house includes its own private balcony with a queen bed. The interior (right) bedroom includes a set of new twin beds and is perfect for children or singles. The fourth bedroom includes another queen bed and is situated just off the den on the opposite back (left) corner of the home with its own sliding glass doors offering direct access to the back deck as well. This bedroom as well as the den can offer privacy from the remainder of the house via a sliding pocket door conveniently situated between the kitchen and the den which is perfect for a small family or couple wishing to share the home with others while still maintaining some level of privacy within the space as needed. The den is just in front of this bedroom on the left front of the house and includes a large sectional couch with a cozy, wood-burning pellet stove for use during the cooler months as you watch movies on the 50' flat panel television with cable and DVR service.

The main living area consists of the kitchen, dining area, and living room and is perfectly situated in the center of the home. Most of this area is open and features beautiful vaulted ceilings with plenty of natural sunlight entering from the many windows and skylights. A small bar with bar stool seating separates the kitchen from the dining area while still offering plenty of space and openness within the area. The well-appointed kitchen features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances perfect for the family chef. High-end stainless steel cookware by Wolfgang Puck include all of the pots and pans and lids you would need to prepare any gourmet meal, even including a wok! Enjoy many of the other small kitchen appliances such as a toaster, coffee/tea maker, deep frier, fondue set, blender, and hand mixer. Dinnerware and glassware is abundant as well so you can enjoy your glass of champagne from a champagne glass, red wine from a red wine glass, or your margarita from a margarita glass. A complete set of plastic dinnerware is also available for use outside on the peaceful deck during a relaxing summer evening barbeque.

The dining room has a large square table with seating up to 8, plus an addition 3-4 at the bar directly behind. Enjoy meals and conversations together as a group, or play any number of games in this convenient setting.

Step down into the living room where the gas fireplace sits within a beautiful river rock setting to create a natural feeling of warmth and coziness. The large 7-piece modular sofa can comfortably accommodate as many of 6-8 people while watching the 50' high definition flat panel TV or playing games around the large 4'x4' marble coffee table.

Each bedroom includes clean, comfortable, brand-name mattresses (including mattress protectors) all purchased from a high-end retailer and in great condition. Bed linens and towels are also high quality, name brand 100% cotton varieties. Each bed has its own down (or down alternative) comforter, 100% cotton duvet cover, pillows (with pillow protectors), and an optional, extra bed blanket for each bedroom for those colder nights. A Pack-N-Play for infants is also available for use during your stay as well as two queen-size Aero-bed inflatable mattresses.
