From the owner

Aspens is a four bedroom/two bath home/cabin with a spacious open concept living room/dining room, large outside deck and central air conditioning. The cabin has western exposure on Van Vliet Lake, part of the Presque Isle chain of lakes, from the kitchen and deck, and northern exposure of the lake from the north facing bedrooms. There is a pier to the north of the cabin and a shared pier on the western exposure to the lake.

The cabin is part of Alpine Resort in Presque Isle and shares all of the common areas. There are 3 kayaks, a standup paddleboard, 2 paddleboats and a canoe free of charge to use. We also have boats for rent for an additional fee. The front yard area has a play set and campfire area.

All cabins are non-smoking and pets are not allowed. We supply bed linens, septic safe toilet paper, kitchen towels, dishwasher pellets, dish soap, coffee filters and garbage bags. You must bring bathroom towels and beach towels. A full suggested packing list is available upon request.

The fully-stocked, eat-in kitchen comes complete with full size appliances and dishwasher. The adjoining dining and living room offer a large open area for dining and gathering. A dining room table and stools at the kitchen counter offer additional dining space. The Living Room is the center of the cabin and has ample seating and satellite TV.

Bedroom configuration - There is one bedroom with the king-size bed that faces the lake on both the west and north sides. Another bedroom has one queen bed, one bedroom has four twin beds and the last one has two twin beds. The unit sleeps ten people in beds.

This is a great unit for a single family, for two families or for large groups. The cabin rents Sunday to Sunday during the summer season and is available for less than a week in the spring and fall.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kim (the owner) a message.

If Kim (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
