Description

Rose Cottage is just a ten minute walk away from Port Logan, made famous by the popular BBC series '2000 Acres Of Sky'.

Lovely sandy beaches, botanic gardens, sea fishing, bird watching, horse riding and countryside walks, this beautiful corner of Galloway in south west Scotland is an ideal choice for a self catering holiday.

Our accommodation consists of sitting room and dining room, one double bedroom (King Size). Fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Our property has full central heating. Extra heat is available from our electric logburner fire , if required. We offer cable TV , DVD, Music Player together with a selection of music cd's, dvd films and books. Wireless broadband is available throughout the cottage.

Our bathroom as a bath and overbath shower.

Ample car parking is available for anyone wishing to bring their own boat.

Well behaved pets are also very welcome.

Rose Cottage 1 is our holiday cottage and we live at Rose Cottage 2 around the back, Thus offering you privacy with the comfort of knowing we are available if required.

The accommodation is all on one level and consists of a lounge , dining area with an open fireplace, TV,CD player. A nice selection of books, DVD films and CD music are available in the lounge.We have a spacious double bedroom (king size bed) . All bed linen & towels are included in the price.Fully equipped kitchen with washing machine , microwave, electric cooker, fridge and freezer & adjoining bathroom with shower.

Ample car parking space is available for anyone wishing to bring a boat. A secure grassed area for children to play or for the dogs is just outside the back of the property. Well behaved pets are welcome.

“Beautiful countryside cottage”

Clean picturesque cottage with lovely views of the gardens and countryside. Every thing you need provided for your stay. Bonus of fully enclosed garden for our dog to roam straight from the back door. Garden visited by a multitude of birds including a Green Woodpecker and a Sparrow Hawk not forgetting the Heron which stole Steve’s fish. Lovely part of the country with many gardens and Nature Reserves to visit. Would recommend staying here.

“Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings!”

We stayed in Rose Cottage for 4 nights in April. The cottage is exceptionally clean and has everything you could need. The views are beautiful and the beach at Port Logan, a 10 minute walk away is lovely too. It was our dog Finn’s first visit to the beach and he loved it. Weather was very cold and wet at times. Had one glorious day of sunshine which let us see the area in all it’s glory. Lots to see and do nearby. Owners were great and replied to my emails very quickly. We would highly recommend Rose Cottage. Thank you!

A lovely clean and cosy cottage with lovely views.The cottage has a warm welcome feeling with a kitchen with everything you could need and more at night it just what we neede a warm location to relax in we will book again

A lovely cosy cottage with well equipped quality kitchen and utensils. Beautiful bedding and soft fluffy towels. Great enclosed garden a variety of birds coming and going even a pheasant.

Port Logan is indeed a wee piece of heaven the cottage is great the people who own the place also nothing is too much trouble, as I stated in my last review "don't take my word for it go and see for yourself" go to Port Patrick, Sandhead, Mull of Galloway but you must stay at the Rose cottage in Port Logan, WE WILL BE BACK.

“Happy and relaxed”

We Returned to Rose cottage again, Because the cottage offers a relaxing and quiet holiday break. the only noise you get are from the cows in the fields and the birds feeding in the gardens. Since we last visited they have fitted a new kitchen and all I can say is it is a great improvement on a fantastic holiday cottage. We came home from Rose cottage totally relaxed. Stephen and Marie the hosts are very friendly and amenable they just leave you to do as you please. We will be returning again some time soon.

“Peaceful location”

We booked this cottage when we saw that it stated it was suitable for people with restricted mobility. Sadly we were disappointed by the steep steps down into the garden and at the back door of the property, hence my husband who has restricted mobility could not manage outside to enjoy the beautiful weather and views. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
