Elk Meadow Cottage is the best of both worlds - in the middle of it all, yet away from it all... . Our house is just 5 miles off of I-40 and bordered on 3 sides by the Kaibab National Forest, giving you privacy, peace, and quiet. Yet, it is also conveniently located just 20 minutes from Flagstaff and Williams/Polar Express, an hour from the Grand Canyon, and an hour from Sedona! There is so much to do and see in Northern Arizona and Elk Meadow Cottage is the perfect home base for your adventures.

Our Cottage is nicely furnished, has new, top quality linens, and is kept in immaculate condition. We recently added a relaxing hammock and a super fun zipline for our younger guests!

The master bedroom features a king bed and adjoining bath with jetted soaking tub. Upstairs are 3 more bedrooms plus a 2nd full bath. Kids love sleeping and playing in the inviting loft space.

Perfect location for your base camp for all the attractions and natural wonders that Northern Arizona has to offer. Access to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Slide Rock Park, Polar Express & North Pole Experience, Grand Canyon Railway, 5 area fishing lakes, and several golf courses.

Relax by the fireplace with a book or enjoy one of the many family friendly movies and games provided. BBQ and dine on the deck under the pines. Cool, fresh, pine scented mountain air in this wooded setting in the Kaibab Nat'l Forest at 7500 ft. The home is located in an area known for wildlife viewing, views of the San Francisco peaks, and access to miles and miles of hiking / biking / cross country skiing trails.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Emily (the owner) a message.

If Emily (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
