“Comfortable and well equipped”

Reviewed 13 Jul 2016

Had a very enjoyable stay, slept well, and like many before us loved watching birds from the dining table. The kitchen was very well equipped. We felt a little as though we were staying in a friends house. Good garden and nice private decking area for sitting out. We were lucky with the weather which always helps! Good to be close to all village amenities, especially just nipping over the road for a paper, pint of milk etc from the Co-op.

“A very comfortable cottage”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2016

This clean and cosy cottage is in a great location in the friendly village of Newtonmore. It is very well equipped with good quality items and contains everything you need. The bathroom has a good sized shower cabinet with plentiful hot water and the sitting room is comfortable. There is also sunny outdoor space. The local Co-op is very nearby and there are several nice places to eat within walking distance. We loved the bird feeders in the garden and enjoyed observing the local bird life. Lots of thoughtful touches, like a bird book and binoculars at the kitchen window, maps and books in the sitting room. A great stay.

“a nice, cozy and fully equipped residence”

Reviewed 11 Feb 2016

A nice, cozy and fully equipped property in an equally as cozy town. A stay of 4 persons (2 x double bed) is very well possible. Ample storage space in both bedrooms. Bathroom is not too big but complete and equipped with a fine douchcabine. In the living room are two sofas and further equipped with a TV, stereo and wood stove. All not too big but cozy. The kitchen is relatively large and also complete. The "house" is perhaps somewhat over complete with this and that's, but that's personal. A good choice.

“This was an excellent, cosy cottage - the website doesn't do it justice!”

We had a fantastic stay at this cottage. The owner was extremely helpful and considerate. The property was much better than we expected from the website - I think the photos make it look a bit dark and dingy. Nothing could be further from the truth. It was warm, comfortable and clean with a spacious lounge. The second bedroom was also much bigger than expected with a very comfortable sofa bed/futon. The garden was amazing and we even had great weather to make use of it! My only worry about giving such a good review is that more people will book it and when we want to return we may find it fully booked!

“Nice house with garden”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2015

My girlfried and me were 2 weeks in this nice house and had a nice time. There were two bedrooms, a large kittchen and a livingroom with two big couches. Everything was perfect explained and the very friendly owner answered all e-mails very rapid. The superb landscape is great for start hiking dircet from the house. We had very happy holidays and would come again.

“Far better than we envisaged!”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2014

The bungalow was very roomy and had everything we could possibly have needed. The garden was fantastic. Instructions on everything were very clear. The location for us was perfect and we loved the fact that there the local hotel opposite had a swimming pool which was open to non residents as well. It was just a really homely place to be and we enjoyed returning each day after our adventures. We visited the local Folk museum several times as the children enjoyed the park and old sweet shop. It was interesting to learn about the Scottish Wild Cat which we were able to do in our own time as there were plenty of leaflets and information in the bungalow along with maps. All round brilliant holiday.
