“Absolutely perfect for our family gathering. Felt like home.”

Reviewed 21 Feb 2016

We hired the place for a family reunion with 3 generations aged 4 to 60, and everyone of us enjoyed every moment. The open kitchen and long dining table provided the perfect setting for family meals and conversations. The whole place was warm with plenty of places to sit, relax, or play games in the big living room in the barn. The bedrooms in the main house are so romantically interesting with comfy beds and stunning views. Every item in the house has history and character and we loved that. Nick and May were incredibly welcoming and catered to every need and question we had. We tried their ciders, honey and chutney which were all delicious! The local area provides plenty of walks and strolls and we flew a kite down by the river. We recommend this whole heartedly, and will definitely visit again in the summer! we recommend bringing easy to slip of shoes to pop across between the barn and the main house. Nick lent us crocks which were perfect.
