This charming B&B is located in the hills just outside the walled city of Lucca (6 km) and it is surrounded by olive groves and beautifully features a lovely small pond with a wooden bridge that leads to a little three-shaded island.
Its walls hold a unique historical and cultural heritage: it was home to the famous Architect Felice Matteucci, inventor of the first stroke engine in 1854 (prototype of the modern day motor car). For years the house has been the summer residence of many renowned families in Lucca, today it is a luxury BB with six spacious bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms.
Antique furniture combined with traditional Tuscan style: terracotta tiled floors, wood-beamed ceilings and splendid antiques create a refined and exclusive atmosphere. Offering all modern comforts in an elegant yet rustic setting, the house has wifi and air conditioning. Relax in the spacious and majestic living area or enjoy the fitness room; let yourself be cuddled by a rejuvenating massage (at extra charge); taste the traditional, fragrant aromas of our territory at breakfast time with a selection of the best local products; have a rest by the pool under the flower gazebo. Tuscany at its best!
The farmhouse has been renovated with great care for details to ensure maximum comfort. In the lounge area there is a big flat screen TV with pay TV and DVD player, in the dining room another area is available 24 hours with teakettle and a top quality selection of teas and herbal infusions. Another leisure room has various board games and a beautiful chessboard.
Every morning we serve a tasty continental breakfast in the alfresco dining area by the pool or in the elegant indoor dining room (depending on the season). During winter you can enjoy reading a book by the fireplace, in summer taste a nice aperitif under the gazebo. Welcome drinks are included in the price. Our guests can also access to a pretty fitness area.

2)BEDROOM SAN IACOPO: A truly poetic spot! The bedrooms features a modern en-suite bathroom with shower. From San Iacopo bedroom you will admire a breathtaking panorama of the park. It can accomodate an extra bed at extra charge
3) BEDROOM SANT'ANNA: during the centuries these rooms have hosted great personalities of Tuscan aristocracy. This unique charm has been preserved and you can now experience it by waking up in a suite with view over the park and pond. The room features a queen size bed, a sofa, working area and en-suite bathroom with bathtub and a big shower tub. It can accomodate an extra bed at extra charge
4)BEDROOM SAN COLOMBANO: This bedroom overlooks the pool and has a queen size bed, en-suite bathroom with bathtub and shower combo. It is very spacious and elegant, the perfect solution for those willing to combine quality and price. It can be connected to another bedroom (room S. Paolino), with en-suite bathroom becoming a spacious family room. (if available, at extra charge)
5)BEDROOM SAN PAOLINO: dedicated to the patron Saint of Lucca, San Paolino, this bedroom is elegant yet simple. The room is very bright and offers a nice view over the pool and surrounding hills. Two single beds are available and on request can be united into one double bed.
