Glynllifon, literal meaning “the house in the valley where the stream flows”. This luxury Country home is set in its own grounds of 7 acres on the main Abersoch Road, encompassing an Iron Age Fort which dates back some 2000 years.

The house is situated just outside Llanbedrog, a beautiful costal village with scenic walks, beaches and local pubs. Neighbouring Abersoch, was voted one of Sunday Times 'best places to live', here you will find numerous restaurants, pubs and shops and spectacular beaches. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a top UK holiday destination.

This 6 bedroom, 4 bath/shower-room comfortable hosts 13 people. The large Country house is set in landscaped gardens with a stream and ponds. Inside the manor you fill find a large entertaining area, separate bar area and fantastic amenities such as the huge whirlpool bath and pool table.

All linen is provided in line with booking numbers, this includes, quality cotton bedding, towels and tea towels.

No pets or animals are allowed inside the house or outside in the grounds. This is not a party house and gatherings, hen dos or stag dos are not permitted.

Living Spaces

Glynllifon has a large open plan living space with comfortable lounge area over-looking the gardens with leather sofas and a 42” TV with Sky including Movies and Sport. perfect for relaxing in after a busy day. The dining area has a large table and enough chairs for all, making it fit for a banquet. There is a pool table to keep the kids and adults entertained on rainy days. Across the hall there is a separate bar room, which is ideal for socialising with friends, or watching the sport.

Cooking and Dining

With the beach less than a mile away you can work up an appetite before coming home and cooking up a feast in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy eating in the dining area, alternatively BBQ and dine al fresco on the patio overlooking the gardens.

The 6 burner gas hob, double oven, grill and large separate fridge and separate freezer are ideal for large groups.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Comfort and space reigns at Glynllifon House. Sleeping 13 people comfortably, there is a range of Super King, King and Single beds providing options for single adults and couples, as well as children.

As well as the en-suite to the master bedroom, there is a shared shower room on the first-floor landing and a separate WC and shower on the same floor. On the ground floor you will find a amazing large bathroom, with rain shower and a luxurious whirlpool bath big enough to fit a couple of people.

The house is approached via a long driveway, passing ponds, a putting green, lined with mature trees encompassing a 150 yd front garden and a large back garden both ideal for al fresco dining/ barbeques. Enjoy the fresh air on the patio area with outdoor seating. A natural stream runs along the wall and meanders its way from one pond onto the next before it finds its way to the sea.

Owner's reply: Mr Brook. Your booking was NOT through TripAdvisor and hence it has come to our notice in the last few days Why so insulting?? Guess that is to be expected when caught lying and trying to avoid paying what is due. You got the house at a reduced rate as it was a last moment holiday just for your family of 5. Terms and conditions were made clear at the time of booking. No extra people and no pets. The day you arrived you requested if your parents could join you for a couple of nights at a minimal cost which was agreed upon. You had nice things to say about the house as per your text There was no talk about some other guests staying in the house on the last 3 days with a dog. This would never have been agreed upon as it is an allergy free home You say the dog was in the car during your in laws stay. Really? In early January when the outside temperature was 2-4 degrees at night. That would mount to cruelty and neglect. Don’t you think? And there was hell of a stench left in the house Regarding photos of children ! You were going to contact the authorities. To make such false accusations just because you’ve been caught out shows to what low levels you will go to. The outbuildings at the back have always been for personal storage, as we owned the house in excess of 30 years. Over the past 9 years no one staying at the house has insinuated that they may be someone living in any of the outbuildings Under the circumstances we are requesting you to withdraw your comments ASAP, as it is a fabrication of lies, if not, we reserve the right to take legal action for defamation of character or for loss of bookings / revenue indirectly or directly as a result of your false comments

We booked the house for a week to celebrate a family birthday. There were 14 people in total with age range spanning 2yrs to 70yrs. The house was excellent and is bigger than the photos suggest. The long dinning table easily accommodated our entire group; the lounge area has 3 large leather sofas; jacuzzi bath fit all 4 kids; the downstairs area is open plan, so plenty of room for people to do their own thing but still be together. The bedrooms are all furnished to a very high standard and are very comfortable. The property is in a small village called Llanbedrog which is a couple of miles outside of Abersoch. The village has a beautiful beach, a shop and a pub so being slightly out of town isn't a problem. There is a road that runs past the house, which isn't obvious from the photos. There's some traffic noise but the large garden is separated from the road with a high wall and sturdy gates, so no problems for young children to play outdoors. The garden is spectacular and with outdoor seating is a lovely place to sit out (when the sun shines!) We had a couple of very small niggles, as some lights stopped working (switch needed replacing) and a shower tray blocked up (sand). The landlord was easy to contact and very responsive in resolving these issues quickly. This is a lovely part of the world, with lots to do - we enjoyed a range of outdoor activities including horse riding, walking, canoeing, running, canyoning, go-karting and bike riding -which were all within a 45mins drive. This area would be equally appealing to anybody who just wants to get away from it all and relax. All in all a great trip and we would whole heartedly recommend both the area and this property.

If Rita and Jitty (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
