“Home away from home, nestled in the Scottish Highlands”

Reviewed 30 Nov 2019

A fabulous, well resourced, comfortable, quiet and cosy place to relax in and to: - use as a place to recharge your batteries; - use as a base to engage in more energetic activities; - use as base for tourist activities! It is well situated to facilitate all of the above and is surrounded by gorgeous walks.

Owner's reply: We are so pleased you had a nice time in the Highlands and at Carrick House, it really is a lovely part of the country. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Kind regards, Michael

“Fabulous Cottage”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2016

A beautiful cottage in a small friendly town, ideally situated for sightseeing etc. Cottage was well equipped, spotlessly clean, with a log fire already laid for if we needed it, with plenty of logs and coal available at no extra charge. It was a shame the weather wasn't on our side otherwise we would have been able to make full use of the lovely garden for an evening bbq. The shops, pubs and railway station were all within 5-10 minute walking distance, so if you wanted to explore without the car it was a bonus. Plenty of takeaway places for easy eating after a long day of exploring and nice comfy beds to fall into at night. Would definitely revisit this cottage again, a big Thank You to the owners for letting us this lovely home from home.
