Hello and thank you for looking at our holiday bungalow in the peaceful part of north Cornwall.

Our fully equipped PREMIER holiday bungalow is situated near the peaceful village of Kilkhampton on the north coast of Cornwall. it has 2 bedrooms,but will sleep 6 people as there is a corner leather sofa bed in the lounge area which converts into a large double bed for the 2 extra guests. Both bedrooms have wardrobes,and a chest of drawers is in the double also has a modern fully integrated kitchen with eye level oven,microwave,ceramic hob and large fridge,The bathroom has a walk in shower and shaver socket.The lounge has a large screen television and a blu-ray dvd player and sound bar with blue tooth for playing your own music.There is also an ironing board, iron and a high chair.On site facilities are:an indoor heated swimming pool and gym (charges applicable by Penstowe leisure),free entry to the restuarant and cabaret suite with entertainment for all ages as well as a childrens club 6.30-8pm.There is a new outdoor swimming pool with a cafe it also has an outdoor eco kids adventure play ground. Also on site is the stables bar (kids welcome) which does food and has live music on saturday nights.

locally is Kilkhampton village (a few minutes walk) which has 2 pubs both good for food (dogs welcome in the London inn) there is also 2 grocery shops,a chip shop and pizzaria and Chinese take-away.

Bude is within easy reach and has a great beach(soft sand) for families and is dog friendly, and has one of the best areas for surfers and has nearby cafes,There is also a canal walk on new tarmac paths for a gentle stroll approximately 3.5 miles (there is a cafe at the end of the walk) it also has nice shops in the town centre as well as a morrisons and sainsbury's supermarkets for your weekly provisions. Boscastle and Tintagel are within a 30 minutes drive and Padstow 40 minutes, The Eden project is1 hour.Port isaac (doc martin) is 30 miles.

Clovelly is worth a visit and nearby is the milky way for all day family entertainment, the big sheep is within easy reach

The north Cornwall coastline has some fantastic coastline walks.

"Good base, homely touches, fresh, clean and well equiped. Value for money."

Traveled as a party of mum dad and two grown up children. This privately owned property is in at the top end near the Manor House, on the holiday park at which makes it close to a car park (quiet and handy), but a bit noisy at night as you can hear the music from the entertainment, however that said it didn't go on past midnight and wouldn't bother you if you are at the entertainment! It didn't bother us. A pathway runs past the side of the building, but people were quiet so no disturbance, but there is a light attached to the wall to light the path which shines brightly into the second bedroom, a bit of an issue. That said, we found the property in a good location from which to explore the local area. The property has some High standard fittings and furniture and we were particularly impressed with all the immediate essentials that were provided like tea towels, oven cloth, toilet & shower cleaner, washing up cloths and liquid, toilet paper, salt & pepper, tea & coffee and extras like throws on the sofas, blue-ray TV, double oven, build-in microwave, and all the kitchen utensils, pots, bowls oven trays, and gadgets you would have yourself! Plenty of plates and dishes, mugs and glasses to go the whole day, so much more than most places. Which suited us as we like to cook proper meals and go out for the day. But the Manor house does sell a variety of food if you don't want to cook. Previous reviews have mentioned dripping water from the gutter, this could give you a disturbed night's sleep in the master bedroom, however we solved the issue by putting a sponge up the drain pipe, it allowed the water to drain through yet stopped the dripping on the curve of the down pipe. A very god night's sleep was had, the beds are firm and comfortable with high quality bedding. The small bedroom is a bit of a squeeze for storage, bed side table and small wardrobe, but not a problem for us as we shared the storage available. The main bedroom had a large chest of drawers, good size wardrobe and plenty of floor space if you like to 'live out of your case'. Don't be alarmed, as we first were, if you hear a buzzing, it is probably the electric meter, you will need to buy electric cards from the Manor, reception or over the bar. We spent about £15 for the week and we like our showers and cooking. Any unused cards can be refunded. You will need to pay for any sports facilities at the Manor House, we didn't bother as we went off site every day, but we did occasionally go to the bar (a short stroll back!) and evening entertainment, however, mostly in the evenings we like to play family board games for which the dining table was perfect. There is also a picnic bench outside. There are some shops in the village which is a short drive away, but you might like to google the supermarkets in Bideford and stock up for the week on your way down, nb there is a very large fridge but no freezer or ice box, so think fresh food! The nearest beaches are a short drive away (definitely not walking distance), down small roads , but that's Cornwall for you! Lovely cliff top walks. Directions to the property, key collection details and emergency contact phone number are given by the owner the night before, so if you don't have an internet phone you will need to contact the owner and collect these details well before you travel (especially if you are spending the previous week on holiday elsewhere). There is free but patchy internet at the manor. Comparing this property to others in the area, this is definitely good quality and value for money. I would stay there again but we like to change locations each holiday.
