Location description from owner

The Brighton and Hove region

The historic county of Sussex in South East England. The city of Brighton and Hove was created a unitary authority in 1997 and was granted status as a City in 2000.

The Beach Hut Apartment is located only a stone's throw from Hove seafront and the hub of Central hove with its amenities ,bars and cafe culture.

Brighton offers a fantastic mix of iconic attractions, famed nightlife, award winning restaurants, funky arts, culture & all year round festivals.

Nestling between the South Downs & the sea on the stunning south coast, Brighton has everything from Regency heritage to beachfront cool.

Hove

Hove is the best kept secret of Brighton, the seafront is a great place to escape to, away from the hustle and bustle of Brighton but near enough to catch the vibes. Just being by the sea is great and made all the prettier by the Hove beach huts in their array of colours. It doesn't feel like a tourist area, but has a laid-back, village or notting hill type atmosphere.

The promenade attracts roller-bladers, baby buggies and dog walkers. There are football games , family picnics on the grassy areas, and an area for playing boules or just generally chilling out.

Because of all this activity, its great to stop at the open-air cafe and watch the world go by or admire the splendour of the West Pier and the old regency buildings along the front.

“Flat of Awesomeness”

Reviewed 6 Oct 2015

Seven of us stayed for a conference two years ago and came back again this year to the same flat. This place is wonderful. From the fresh flowers to the underfloor heating in the bathrooms, it has absolutely everything you could possibly think of. The place is spotless, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen wonderfully stocked; there's Sky Sports on the telly, a giant supermarket across the road, and it's a lovely meandering walk into Hove or Brighton. The landlady, Fiona, can't do enough for you. It is an absolute pleasure to stay here; we have already asked if we can come back in two years' time!

“Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!!!!”

Reviewed 8 May 2014

This is a great flat within a minutes walk of the Hove sea front. The flat is furnished to a high standard and has everything you need. Fiona (the owner) is lovely and had everything ready for us and couldn't have been more helpful. There is a garage, parking and a lovely garden complete with deck chairs, a BBQ and table and chairs for outside dining. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Brighton/Hove area, you'll find this place hard to beat. Highly recommended.

“What a great base for a week in Brighton!”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2014

The beach hut apartment was the ideal Hove base for a trip to Brighton. A stylish, well equipped apartment with everything we needed for a great week. Far enough out, but close enough to town.....a 3-min stroll to the sea.....close to shops/restauarants/bars. Perfect and thoroughly recommended!

“A perfect luxury apartment for young families close to the beach and Brighton”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2013

The apartment is absolutely outstanding and we really enjoyed our time there. It is in a great location with the quiet and clean Hove beach just a five minute walk away and Brighton about a twenty minute walk. The area that the apartment in is really quiet for such a busy town. The facilities themselves are outstanding and great for a young family. It was nice to have a garden and the apartment was spotlessly clean. Fiona also provided great and highly efficient service. We are already planning to return next year.

“Perfect apartment for a hen weekend!”

Reviewed 21 Aug 2013

As soon as we arrived at the Beach Hut Apartment we loved it! Not only was it much bigger than anticipated, but it is beautifully decorated throughout. Fiona also left us some fresh flowers and a bottle of bubbly which was gratefully received! There were 11 of us staying and we had plenty of room - 3 of us stayed in one bedroom, 3 in another, 3 in the lounge and 2 in the cute little cabin in the garden. There are two beautiful bathrooms, each with a shower, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The garden is a lovely space and also has a bbq. The apartment is about a 20 minute walk to Brighton along the seafront, but we were also able to get taxis easily and fairly cheaply. Fiona made the booking and checking in/out process very easy. Overall, we all loved the apartment and I would definitely highly recommend it to anyone visiting Brighton or Hove.

“lovely modern flat with garden”

Reviewed 5 Aug 2013

This flat was easy to find had parking, garden and lovely kitchen, bathroom and shower room (bath was amazing). Two minutes from sea front and Tesco. I would recommend you look through cupboards before a trip to Tesco as there are lots of bits to be used. I will definitely keep the details for another stay.

“Perfectly presented and great location for a getaway”

Reviewed 25 Mar 2013

The Beach Hut apartment was beautifully maintained and really well equipped for our stay. Most things that we needed during the weekend were available to us and Fiona had also kindly provided a nice bottle of fizz; flowers and tea and coffee - all of which were greatly appreciated. It provided a great base for us to explore and although it is in Hove rather than Brighton, the bus and taxi links into Brighton were regular and cheap. There were 8 of us staying - the 2 main bedrooms were well equipped, although the day bed mattress was a little thing for one of the group and not having any curtains in the lounge made it difficult to get a good night's sleep for those on an otherwise gorgeously comfortable sofa bed so I would recommend an eye patch. The 2 bathrooms were lovely (important for 8 girls) and the kitchen was really modern and well equipped. Overall, we all loved this apartment and would definitely stay here again. Fiona was really helpful and flexible and made us feel very welcome.

Owner's reply: Hi charlotte, Thanks for your great and honest review just to let you know that the black out blinds in the sitting room / patio door area were removed earlier on this year due to essential repairs. New blinds have been purchased and will be re-installed over the Easter weekend and I apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused to those sleeping in the lounge area during your weekend visit. Kind regards , Fiona

“Home Touches and Gorgeous Place”

Reviewed 28 Nov 2012

I cannot thanks Fiona enough, my stay here with another couple - as well as my partner and 1 year old was magic. Fiona added some lovely touches like baby wash in the main bathroom, and the putting up the high chair for us. As well as this, the flat was in a great position for everything, was super clean and well laid out as well as being superbly decorated and Fiona was a pleasure to deal with. I hope that we can stay here again on our next trip to Brighton and Hove in 2014.

“Lovely flat in central location, close to beach and shops”

Reviewed 1 Aug 2012

We were there as a family with two teenagers. The location is very central, close to the beach of Hove and few minutes to the center of Brighton. The apartment is lovingly furnished in a bright, maritime style with a charming garden with a beach hut. We would have liked to have stayed longer. :) Fionas support was excellent and very helpful.

“Fantastic and relaxing stay in a very special property”

Reviewed 28 Jul 2012

We (2 families with young children) spent 6 days in Brighton, and chose the Beachhut Apartment for location, size and overall condition according to the advertised pictures. First contact with the owner was very nice and friendly, any question was answered promptly. The apartment turned out to be exactly as advertised. Very nice location close to city centre and beach, with supermarket and coffee shops just around the corner. Ideal for families, however with a larger group you might easily run out of kitchen utensils. Some additional crockery and cutlery would make the otherwise very nice kitchen just perfect. Only little downside: watch out for the birds, they can throw a bomb anytime, especially when you sit in the nice backyard.
