“A little piece of heaven, on earth.”

Reviewed 17 Apr 2017

Excellent location in glorious walking country. Lots of lovely places to visit with stunning countryside along the way. The cottage is outstanding and one of the nicest cottages we've stayed in. Very friendly owners who couldn't do enough for us and their welcome treats were wonderful. We will certainly return.

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking time to give such a lovely review, it is much appreciated.. Looking forward to seeing you again.

“It was perfect!”

We've recently returned from our 4th stay at Hollybeck Stables and,as usual it was perfect- immaculately maintained and well equipped with everything we could require. Kath and David are the most welcoming of hosts, providing many extras such as the excellent welcome pack and fresh flowers. We are looking forward to our next visit.

“Perfect weekend away”

Reviewed 17 Mar 2013

We recently spent a long weekend at Holly Beck Stables & had an absolutely fabulous time! Holly Beck Stables is the perfect base with everything you could possibly need & is ideally situated for exploring all the area has to offer, We didn't have the best weather but it did mean we got to make the most of the log fire & cosy up in the beautiful accommodation in the evenings. Kath & David made us feel instantly welcome & the hamper we received upon arrival; filled with lots of local goodies, was a real treat. There is lots to do in the area; lovely walks, national trust properties, places to eat etc. We will definitely be back & hope to stay longer next time. We have already recommended Holly Beck Stables to many of our friends & family!

“Peaceful haven in the Dales”

Reviewed 14 Sep 2012

Mr & Mrs Connor are perfect hosts, and present a beautifully refurbished cottage including a lovely welcome pack containing home made produce. We had a super week, our second visit, and as the weather was so lovely we were able to sit out in our own private courtyard area to have breakfast, what a treat! Would definitely recommend this lovely cottage to anyone visiting Harrogate and the Dales. We certainly intend to return.

“Perfect country retreat in outstanding scenic location”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2012

Despite frequent showers and flood warnings, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Holly Beck Stables. In fact, we rather appreciated the wet weather as some days it meant we were forced to stay indoors and enjoy the comfortable accommodation, luxurious bath robes and warming woodburning stove. There really is 'something for everyone' in Nidderdale- future guests will be spoilt for choice of walks, National Trust properties, shops in Harrogate, picturesque towns and villages and not forgetting the amazing Turkish Baths! We will definitely be visiting again, with the warm hospitality shown by our hosts (for instance, bringing us a whole stack of local maps after we forgot to bring any! And the residents carparking disc for Harrogate) adding to the whole experience. We cannot describe the cottage highly enough- it has clearly been renovated to a high standard and has all the facilities you could wish for including a delightful Yorkshire hamper upon arrival. We absolutely loved our holiday here.
