“TRANQUIL MOORS RETREAT”

Reviewed 3 Oct 2015

We received a lovely welcome from Jackie. To the cottage on the moors, near the farmhouse, with wild heather background, cattle sheep and grouse. the cottage was homley and comfortable, Jackie had provided a welcome bottle of wine. Our two dogs settled into the life quickly and had a nice crate bedroom to relax. We were near Goathland, and took a trip on the beautiful steam railway, followed by the downhill walk back through fabulous countryside. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the food in the local The Plough was fantastic, sunday lunch with huge Yorkshire pudding and nice staff. Drove into whitby and walked from the abbey car park on the hill, the town is lovely, and very busy but luckily the sun was out and we experienced outside dining on the square There are plenty of walks, and great scenery This is a place we wood return

We're very grateful for your comments and pleased that you enjoyed your stay.
