Description

A ground floor apartment with sea views over Freshwater East bay, with distant views of the Cornish/Devon coast, the Gower and Lundy Island. The flat is decorated with natural finishes and rustic flooring and furniture. Accomodation comprizes two ample bedrooms one with kingsize bed the other with bunkbeds, a large lounge/diner with double sofa bed, and compact shower room and kitchen. A shared garden with a rolling lawn with foot path access directly to the beach.

“A great base to explore the surrounding area”

Upon entering no. 10 Devon Court, we did notice a fusty smell, but we either got used to it as the days went by, or it didn't seem noticeable. Lots of updated furniture and in the bedroom, these were embellished by pebbles. Small but adequate kitchen area and small again shower/ toilet / sink room. Unfortunately, being only 5' 1" I was unable to see in the mirror, which was quite high up. The dressing table mirror was old and not very clear, so makeup was a bit slap dash all week! (Bring your own) Living room was spacious with two settees and a dining table and a small tv housed in a cupboard. Everything was clean and comfortable with timed heating coming on and plenty of hot water. Not a great view of a hedge being on the ground floor and I think net curtains would have been nice so that you didn't feel as if you were on view when people passed by. Anthony couldn't have been more helpful and even left us some eggs and a cucumber to enjoy. We had a smashing week exploring the area and this was a good place to come back to at the end of each day. Fantastic beach down a slope of sand dunes and the pub at the bottom does special events in the evenings like, curry night, jogs karaoke etc. Thankyou Anthony for a great stay. ( I left you an egg cup!)

Location is great - ten minutes down to the beach. The flat is really family friendly and Anthony and his family are extremely helpful - they even invited us in for a coffee on a rainy day!

“Lovely relaxing break in a fantastic apartment.”

The apartment is represented well in the photographs. Very clean, with spacious lounge and sleeping areas, a small kitchen and w/c & shower room. There is parking space close to the apartment, a good communal lawn which is ideal for a picnic, and a view of the ocean and Lundy Island. Freshwater East is a quiet and relaxing location for a holiday, situated in a sleepy village, but just a short drove into Pembroke, Tenby or Saundersfoot. There are plenty of nearby attractions from medieval castles to theme parks. Just a short walk down from the apartment is Freshwater East beach, which is a spacious sandy beach in a picturesque location, you really need to see it to appreciate it. It is a bit of a steep trek back up to the apartment, but there is parking available close to the beach. There is not much in the way of local amenities, but there is a small shop located in The Longhouse Club, which is near the beach, a petrol station with a Spar a short drive away, an Asda at Pembroke Dock and a great little pub in the village called, The Freshwater Inn. Anthony, who owns the apartment is very helpful and friendly, he also makes very refreshing cider. As he lives local to the apartment, he is always on hand for any problems that may arise or to assist with any questions; although I never had occasion to use tho service, it is nice to know that he is available. I can heartily recommend a stay at 10 Devon Court, and hope to visit again in the future.

“Great value chalet in a fabulous location”

Great little chalet, in a beautiful village, very close to a stunning beach. The lounge and bedrooms are roomy and had everything you'd need. The bathroom and kitchen were very small and basic but met our needs as a base to travel the area. The owner, Anthony, was very welcoming and friendly, living next door he is on hand if you have any issues or need anything. Great value for money as it is a very expensive area.

Great place to stay beach not to far away great for any kind of family holiday.Owners very friendly and helpful.Apartment very clean and modern, relaxing and cosy, I would recommend any one to stay there. Ideal dor families with small children plenty of space outside for them to play.

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. It was very comfortable and the owner was welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area. The village is quiet but there are plenty of lovely places to eat nearby. The best thing about Freshwater East is the amazing beach which was uncrowded even in high season. I thoroughly recommend a stay at Devon Court.

The property itself was a joy to stay in, the ample living/dining room providing an excellent environment for evening meals and activities with friends against a backdrop of stunning sea views. The surrounding Pembrokeshire countryside and coastline was simply wonderful as were our hosts who with typical Welsh hospitality made every effort to ensure our stay was pleasant, provided useful local knowledge of places to visit and even supplied a complementary bottle of wine! We are thoroughly looking forward to staying again next year.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
