My central Redlands home is available several months per year while I am travelling and your hosts are two superb property managers, Alex and Brent. Walking distance to downtown, ESRI and minutes from key hospitals and the U of R. Perfect for up to 2 adults working from home, up to one child negotiable.
I am a local artist living around the world at airbnb locations. My 2 bedroom 2 bath home in Redlands, California is set up with a master bedroom/bath now with a luxury king-sized bed, full wall closet, dressers and a small desk/stool; a second bedroom with a Queen bed with custom extra comfortable LazyBoy double sofabed and desk/printer stand with printer. There is a third desk/office ibetween the kitchen and the living room.
The home is fully furnished and designed for work at home couples, in the perfect central Redlands location on a quiet street-- walking distance to the University and downtown, convenient to the freeways, very close to both Redlands Community, Kaiser Permanente and Loma Linda University hospitals, and a block from ESRI, etc. This will be perfect for one or two people who are visiting friends or relatives, traveling or working as a travel nurse/doctor, professor, ESRI, in town for special events or treatments, or looking for a more permanent home to buy in the area... and my home is available primarily longer term where I prefer minimum one month and really prefer to rent the whole summer, when I typically airbnb it to Europe, and South America in our winter. There is a family that books every year for 6-9 months so that this place is typically available the summer months June to end of August and best booked up to a year in advance.
The home is a half of a duplex, next to a very quiet apartment complex and the other half neighbor is quiet as well. Currently Brent and his wife Alex are managing the property and will deliver you the keys, and get you services you need, etc. The location is really great and easy to find and there is a nice enclosed backyard with deck and barbeque. NO PETS, though, due to allergies that would prevent some guests from staying.
In 2021, I have revamped the living room to be cozier and include the sofabed. I added a counter extension/cabinet in the kitchen/dining area for you to access the toaster and microwave + extra cutting boards. The china in that cabinet is my private GretchenArt designed set, so is locked and guests need to use the main kitchen cabinet sourced dishes instead.
Guests will have use of the whole house, fully furnished including initial 1-2 weeks supplies such as toilet paper, detergent, drinks, spices, printer paper, etc. The only off limits things are the locked cabinets in the kitchen/dining room with my custom dishes, and any pay per view movies, unless you have your own Netflix or other SmartTV compatible account to sign into. Also off limits is any locked storage space in the former one car garage (now just big enough for a motorcycle and is used as the laundry room besides my storage). However, sometimes there is storage available so check with Alex.
There is now a working area in every bedroom besides the main office between the dining area and the living room. Additionally there are flat screen TVs mounted in each of the living room and 2 bedrooms with Amazon fire stick access to Prime, Sling, and your own paid access to other services.
The Internet is available both wired and wireless and all TVs are wired for better reception. The Router/modem are located in the living room and password is on the back of the modem.
There is a beautiful deck and covered patio with love seat and chairs, 2 picnic tables and solar lit umbrellas plus chaise lounges for sunning, a long comfortable bench for reading or extra guests, buffets, etc. and a top of the line charcoal grill with all the fixings you need. Perfect for the occasional family dinner, birthday celebration etc.
Also there is wood-style laminate flooring in the living room and master bedroom. All but throw rug carpeting has been removed.
I live and work around the world and would not be there while you are renting. I will provide Brent and Alex's information and they will be your de facto hosts instead. I handle all the bookings, etc. however.
I am doing my best to make this home comfortable and hope my guests treat it with care as their own. I am an artist of very modest means, in spite of my unusual mobile lifestyle, so appreciate your respect and pride in keeping my home clean and neat as well as furnishings where you found them. Electricity to $150 per month maximum is included, but guests will be charged for overages beyond that.
PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE ANY FURNISHINGS ETC. Almost every time I return to the property to do renovations, the tools have disappeared, or the cover for the microwave, or glasses all broken etc. Please take care to replace anything you break and remember I really have very modest means and use the income to pay my rent/travel expenses elsewhere.
