Ask about our other 4 apartments at il Borghetto. They are 2BR/2BA and just as charming as this 3BR/3BA apartment. Perfect for big groups, weddings, etc. This is a new listing for Holiday Lettings and Trip Advisor, but we have been listed on VRBO for two years and we have some great reviews. I'm not allowed to give you the link here but search for Lucca on the VRBO website and you'll find us, usually on the first page. WE HAVE GREAT REVIEWS ON THE VRBO SITE!

A lovely 1.5 km drive through olive groves brings you to the private, gated entrance. Our apartment is part of a six apartment 'Borghetto' (formerly a rural, rustic farmhouse from the 14th century) in the hills below the village of San Gennaro near Lucca. The apartment is a tasteful blend of rustic, contemporary and antique furnishings. A 5 x 12 metre swimming pool with beautifully manicured lawns is shared by the apartments and is located on the terrace above the apartment with lovely views down the valley toward Lucca.

We are proud to offer a lifestyle in the heart of Tuscany that is truly unique. Picture yourself on the grounds of an historic 14th century building, rebuilt to the highest standards using only traditional Tuscan materials and methods, from handmade terra cotta tiled floors, to chestnut beams and tiled ceilings. The property also makes extensive use of hand built stone walls in keeping with the character and traditions of Tuscany.

The inviting open floor plan, which includes the living, dining and kitchen areas, is perfect for sharing meals and conversation. The fully equipped kitchen fitted in white Carrara marble has everything you need: a five-burner gas stove, oven and broiler, and dishwasher.

Two large ensuite bedrooms/bathrooms are on the 1st floor (American 2nd floor) and the top floor has the master bedroom and ensuite bath.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jim (the owner) a message.

If Jim (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
