- Two bedroom, two bathroom self-catering cottage suitable for up to 4 people.

- Includes all linen, soft duck down duvet and pillows and thick fluffy white towels.

- Master bedroom has a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom.

- Large loft bedroom with two single beds that can be pushed together.

Covehurst Bay Holiday Accommodation have 2 cottages available: "Swallows Nest" & "Badgers Den".

Located in the beautiful countryside of Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve, and just a 15 minute walk to the quiet beach of Covehurst Bay. Less than 10 minutes drive to Hastings.

Relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of this self-catering holiday cottage. Located next to the owners home you have full access to their heated indoor swimming pool, gym, outdoor hot tub and gardens to enjoy.

The area is officially the sunniest part of the UK, surrounded by green countryside, wildlife, plenty of beaches and all the amazing castles and history from 1066 Battle of Hastings (Norman conquest of England).

Getting around

A car is recommended as we are located in the countryside. However there are regular buses to all the local attractions and taxi's are plentiful. The 8 minute taxi ride from Hastings train station to us costs about £7. You can also walk into Hastings across the nature reserve. It takes about 50 minutes. If you're stuck we have a car and will gladly pick you up or drop you off locally.

We are usually always around or contactable by phone if you have any problems or need local advice. On arrival we will give you a walking map of the area, point out the best places to visit and list our favorite local restaurants and amenities.

The gym and spa facilities can not be used if you are drunk or on medication.
No glass or food is to be taken into the spa area.
We are a quiet countryside retreat, so no loud music after 9pm. Thanks

Had a fantastic 2 weeks stay everything you could ask for was there and a lot of thought on the finishing touches grandson loved finding the badgers around the home and garden. Lovely sized swimming pool and hot tub

We had such a lovely time staying in Badger's Den. The owners were lovely, friendly and very knowledgable about the area. It was a home from home and had some lovely touches, such as a food parcel and flowers. The whole place was immaculate and our baby thoroughly enjoyed using the indoor pool which was appropriately warm enough for our baby as the owners had offered to turn the temperature up if needed. We loved being able to get out for a walk or visit the beach and nearby villages during the day and ordering a take away on our first night. We had Aldi nearby to get anything we needed. We were sad to leave and had lost part of our baby's toy. When cleaning the cottage, the owners found it and posted it to us free of charge. Their 'going above and beyond' was much appreciated. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Thank you!

Absolutely loved our time here. So relaxing, so peaceful and private with all the facilities you could want. Dog-friendly with lovely national park land just across the road made walking the dog and getting out into nature so easy. Private swimming pool was perfect, especially for the kids on the rainy and stormy day we had there. Other days weather for sitting out in hot tub, especially at night, was delicious and very luxurious. Perfect setting, gorgeous gardens. Cottage was lovely. Well looked after, high standard of decor and with all mod cons. Perfect little hideaway from every day life. Close to Camber Sands, Old Hastings Town, Nature Reserves, etc. Just perfect getaway. Definitely plan to come back.

We had delightful weekend at this lovely cottage which is very nicely finished with fab attention to detail! Great pool, garden and really lovely plants throughout. Hosts are super organised and friendly! They gave us lots of instructions on where to go and what to do! Great surroundings too-we had lot's of adventures out there with our son and our little dog! Wish we could use the pool more, but perhaps next time if we/when we go back :)

We stayed at Badgers Den over Christmas and had a fantastic stay! the cottage was immaculately decorated and was very clean, which I was pleased about as have stayed in places that accept dogs previously and they were nothing like Badgers Den!. It was warm and cozy and we were constantly surprised by lots of nice touches such as fresh fruit and beautiful roses when we arrived, there was also milk in the fridge so we could have a nice cup of tea when we arrived and mince pies! My 2 dogs loved the badgers that were dotted around the place and found them constantly fascinating! The Hastings nature reserve was across the road and provided fantastic (even if muddy, due to the rain!) walks for the dogs and the beach was 15 minutes walk away. We didn't see much of the rest of the area as our stay had t be a short one due to other commitments, but I would return and stay for longer to explore the area even more as there seemed to be lots more to do and see. We also had teenagers with us who are hard to amuse so the swimming pool was great and they loved it, it was warm and great to swim in when it was cold outside. Thanks Chris and Erik you have a wonderful cottage and made our stay lovely I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

We are so pleased we have found Badger's Den. For us it is perfection, combining a sense of luxury ( high spec fittings, v comfortable bed, technology and a good sized indoor pool) with a dog friendly attitude and location. We loved the peacefulness of the location and having fantastic walks on the doorstep is a real bonus. We will be back!

We visited Badgers Den < our first time - as we were visiting family. The welcome pack and flowers were a very nice touch, which allowed us to have tea and cake on arrival -!9:00 after a very long journey. On calling at the main house Chris was most welcoming and gave us a quick tour of the facilities. Our cottage was one of the best we have stayed in as well as one of the cleanest / warmist and best equipped. The location was excellent for us as our dogs could be exercised just across the lane. Have every intention of booking again for next year

We had a lovely week at Badgers Den in every way. Chris and Erick were so friendly and accommodating. The cottage was spotless and extremely comfortable and relaxing. We done several walks from the cottage and loved the surrounding countryside. We visited many of the surrounding coastlines and towns including Eastbourne, Bexhill, Brighton, Cuckmere Haven and of course Hastings and the idyllic Rye, Battle, Lewes. We had sunshine every day and spent most of our time walking and exploring the area so didn't get a chance to use the lovely pool. We would have no hesitation in returning to Badgers Den and had the the most amazing holiday, thank you Chris and Erick

How do damage deposits work?
