From the owner

The Old Butcher’s Shop is a luxury, dog friendly holiday home just 5 miles from the coast at Brancaster. With a laidback, contemporary feel, this spacious yet cosy cottage sleeps 8 in 2 double rooms and 2 twin rooms. There is plenty of space for all to enjoy with a large lounge, kitchen and separate dining room, family bathroom and en suite shower room. All rooms are beautifully furnished and styled. A real home from home and a great place to relax at the end of a busy day.

Lounge

To the right of the entrance hall, the large lounge provides seating for 8 with a wood burner to cosy up to on cooler evenings. There is also a flat screen TV, DVD player and a cupboard full of games. The French doors provide access to the enclosed rear garden.

Kitchen

To the left of the entrance hall is the kitchen with a table and chairs, range cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave.

Dining Room

There is also a separate dining room with seating for 8.

Bedrooms

There are 2 double bedrooms upstairs with an en suite shower room to the master bedroom. There are 2 twin bedrooms downstairs. All bedding consists of feather and down duvets and pillows.

Bedroom 1 - master bedroom

This is a double bedroom with an en suite shower room, wardrobe with plenty of hangers, 2 chests of drawers, bedside cabinets and comfy chair. This bedroom is upstairs.

Bedroom 2

This a double bedroom with wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and chair. This bedroom is upstairs.

Bedroom 3

This is a twin bedroom with wardrobe, chest of drawers and comfy chair. This bedroom is downstairs.

Bedroom 4

This bedroom is downstairs. The trundle bed can be made up as a twin bedded room or as a single. The bedroom also has a chest of drawers, bedside cabinet and handing space.

Bathroom & En suite Shower Room

The family bathroom which includes a toilet, bath and separate shower is downstairs. The en suite shower room is upstairs.

Rear Hall & Upstairs Landing

Take a book from the bookcase in the rear downstairs hall (with access to the garden) and escape to the peace and quiet of the upstairs landing with an armchair, table and reading lamp.

Utility Room

There is also a utility room with a toilet, washing machine, tumble dryer and second fridge.

Table Tennis

The games room off the rear, enclosed garden with a table tennis table will keep children and adults entertained.

Garden

With an outdoor table and chairs and umbrella for shade, you can enjoy cooking on the BBQ in the enclosed, rear garden on warm evenings.

Dog Friendly

This well equipped, dog friendly (max 2) property is perfect for the whole family or a groups of friends whatever the time of year.

Parking

There is plenty of parking available in the driveway for at least 4 cars. There is also a Tesla charger ( type 2 ) fitted at the property. Other makes of car would need to check for compatibility.

Guest access

You will have exclusive use of the property for the duration of your stay.

Other things to note

There is a pond on the neighbouring land to the front of the house.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact David (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send David (the owner) a message.

If David (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
