From the owner

Cromer Flint Cottage is a recently refurbished Victorian Cottage just minutes walk from the town centre and the seafront. Tucked away in a quiet lane, you can park the car up for free on the nearby streets and leave it for your holiday. You could even leave the car at home as the train station connecting to Norwich is just up the hill! The beach, cinema, theatre, museum, shops, restaurants and more are all just a few minutes away and yet the cottage is a peaceful oasis in the heart of the town.

It has plenty of living space, a porch/breakfast room, kitchen, lounge/diner, two bedrooms and upstairs bathroom accessed via the narrow Norfolk winder stairs. There's a secure paved courtyard garden that catches the sun for much of the day.

Whether you want to relax or explore, you'll find all that you need at this cosy, well equipped place. I want you to feel at home so I supply the basics to get your holiday off to a start, kitchen consumables such as washing up liquid, foil, cling film, tea, coffee, liquid soap, even a packet of dog biscuits for your family pet. All members of the family are catered for! Heating is gas central heating with the addition of a wood burner in the lounge, so it's truly an all year round escape to the seaside holiday.

There's a Smart TV, DVD player, Sonos music system, free wifi and an array of leaflets to help you plan your holiday here.

There is no actual parking space for the cottage but you can stop right outside to load and unload for short periods. Nearby free street parking or purchase a weekly Council car park pass from the machine or by using the Parking app on arrival. Purchase of a ticket does not guarantee a space, but the nearest car park, Cadogan Road is a two minute walk away or there’s a larger one where your ticket is valid up the coast a few minutes, called Runton Road car park. A weekly pass gives you free parking at a range of other car parks across the district too. We've always been able to park, so don't let this small detail prevent you coming to stay!

Short breaks are available all year round on a Monday or Friday. I can offer flexible changeover days during November to March. They are priced for a minimum of 3 nights but if you can only stay two then enjoy as late a checkout or an early check in depending on the arrival day. For example arrive Friday and leave late on Sunday, or for the same price by 10am Monday. There is a 4 night minimum at Christmas and New Year.

Two dogs are very welcome downstairs only for a small charge of £20 per break. Please let me know you have a dog when enquiring and the fee can be added on to the booking before I accept it. Two dogs are welcome at all times, but only downstairs and outside in the courtyard garden. There is a door between the downstairs and stairwell to make this easy. No puppies under one year old at the time of the holiday please.

Entry is by a key safe, so you're not tied to specific arrival times apart from after 4pm. Flexibility is the key! I will send you a digital welcome folder before your stay. There is also a paper welcome folder (not updated as frequently) with dog friendly information too and some suggested walks around the area. If you discover something new, then tell me about it and I'll duly add it! I can be reached by email or mobile phone if you have any problems.

I’m sorry you were disappointed in my Victorian cottage. I strive to always give my guests the best experience possible for their holiday. You made no contact about any of these issues apart from a text to tell me about the lack of key and that there was no basket of logs therefore would I be dropping one off that evening. I provide a starter pack of wood for the log burner and the property has a full central heating system. Sometimes guests just don’t book the right property for their needs and this would appear to be one of those occasions. I send an extensive welcome folder before arrival which describes in detail all that you need to know. There is no parking on site, but a council car park two minutes walk away and free street parking. The property has a Sonos music system or a standard radio can be accessed via the radio channels on the TV. There is no key to the door from the kitchen to the porch to comply with current fire regulations. Both front and back doors are lockable. The landing is small, exactly as the cottage was built, back in 1870. I hope the rest of the 5 star reviews speak for themselves and show that other guests enjoy the property immensely.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Debbie (the owner) a message.

If Debbie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
