IDEAL FOR FAMILIES, COUPLES, WALKERS

A well presented family owned chalet, situated on a small, peaceful, family friendly chalet park, in the village of Scratby, on the stunning Norfolk coast. The chalet has been recently refurbished to a high spec, with a modern fitted kitchen which includes a high level built in oven and combi microwave/grill. The lounge is inviting with its relaxing colour palate, comfy sofas and a free standing modern fire for cosy nights, while watching the large wall mounted, flat screen t.v. with freeview. It also has a convenient fold out dining table/stools for dining in. The family bathroom includes a shower over bath, to please both shower and bath lovers. Both bedrooms have freeview t.v., the second bedroom with bunks also has a built-in DVD player. Both bedrooms have wall mounted heaters. The fifth bed in this chalet is a fold out bed, ideal for an extra child. The main bedroom has a wardrobe, the other has a chest of drawers and coat hangers on hooks.

Electric is by a coin meter in the lounge. £1 coins accepted only.

The chalet itself sits on a pretty square facing west, so you can catch the beautiful sunsets, while enjoying a glass of wine on your terrace. There is a large carpark just a few steps away from the chalet, giving easy access for unloading all your holiday luggage and in the other direction a large green space that runs around the outside of the chalet park, ideal for those family games or just a stroll. There are swings and a wonderful heated outdoor pool with a separate shallow end for children. This is for use of those staying on site only. Open from May 1st-15th September. There is also a heated indoor pool on the 'Oasis' site across the road, which can be used for a small fee from April 2nd, up till the end of October. The chalet park does not have a club which we see as a bonus, but there are a variety of clubs open to the public, just a short walk away. You do not have to go far to find 'White's Lounge Bar.' on the site entrance. Here you will find great food, live music on some Sundays and Bank Holidays through the Summer. Sitting under the Palm trees and pretty lights, watching the sunset, you really get that holiday feel. In the local area you will find many good quality restaurants to suit all tastes. Across the road is one of 2 convenience shops in the area, a scrumptious fish and chip shop and a launderette. The post office/convenience store at the top of Beach Road is open all year round and open till late all season. The idealic Scratby beach is just 300 metres from the site entrance, on route there you will pass a cafe and Scratby bakery which offers freshly made picnic packs, aswell as cakes, pasties etc. At the end of Beach Road you are greeted by the cliff overlooking miles of beautiful sandy beach. The beach is accessed by a newly added slope, making it easier for families with prams. At the top of the slope are public toilets.

There are other holiday sites in Scratby within walking distance, that have clubs and other facilities on offer, such as go-karts, crazy golf, that can be used by non-residents at a small charge. If you take a walk around the local area you will also find ‘Pink Palace’ amusement arcade and ‘Bee-Be Rai’s for all your take-away delights, including scrumptious doughnuts!

Whether you want a traditional family holiday, a relaxing break or to explore the many walking trails, 'Norfolk Coastal Path' 'Norfolk Broads Walks' this location is ideal for you.

We can supply a highchair and cot if requested (free of charge).

We do not have Wifi however 'Whites Lounge Bar' on the entrance to the site do offer free wifi when using their facilities.

What makes us special? We run our rental ourselves which includes all cleaning and maintenance, so you can be rest assured it will be perfect for your arrival. If we are able to let you in earlier we will let you know. We are on site during the season, so easily available if needed and we like to check in with our guests mid stay to make sure everything is ok. My family and I have been holidaying here for over 25 years now! and we still love the area as much as we did then. Hopefully our knowledge of the area and being there to answer any questions, will help you get the most out of your stay. We look forward to meeting you on your arrival.

Why can't I call Karen and Steve (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Karen and Steve (the owner) a message.

If Karen and Steve (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
