Sea Lavender cottage is a stunning cottage with a 4 star grading in the picturesque village of Burnham Market. Perfect for families, couples and small groups. It is in a wonderful holiday location, tastefully decorated and is a well appointed cottage. Situated on a quiet road only moments from the bustling green, it creates a haven for you to explore all that Norfolk has to offer.
The village has a range of shops and restaurants including tea shops, fish and chips, butchers', art galleries, a chemist, general store, clothing stores and a fantastic wine shop - all only a 2 minute walk away. The beach is only 3 miles away with miles of sandy coast. The area has much to offer ranging from a lavender farm, steam trains and the Sea Life centre to the fabulous Holkham Hall stately home and many farm shops. The area has many local attractions to suit all interests. Also seal watching, bird watching and many fabulous new playgrounds for children in Holkham hall and Pensthorpe (£1 mil+). Most sports are also catered for including tennis courts at the end of the road.
The cottage has two bedrooms with Egyptian Cotton sheets and large bath sheet towels. The kingsize bedroom has HD Free Sat with DVD player. The other has full size single twin beds.
The large open plan living room and kitchen allows you to communicate easily while cooking or relaxing. The wood burner stove keeps you cosy in winter along with the thermostatically controlled heating. There is a good supply of books, DVDs, games, toddler toys and a CD and mini disc player should the weather turn bad in one of the sunniest places in the country.
There is a secluded garden with table and chairs and this summer a small play area for children - swing and slide. It's child friendly but also perfect for two or four adults. It has a barbeque for those summer nights. A rotary dryer is also provided should you need it.

The area has a fantastic amount of attractions for those who like to keep busy from bird watching and stately homes to Victorian workhouses with activities for children and steam trains. There are many local events in the summer from Kite festivals to local carnivals and the village fair. There is activites for those who are sporting from fishing and horse riding to kite surfing. Finally for those that like to relax there are shops to mooch around, beautiful sandy beaches and plenty of wonderful places to eat. There is something for everyone in the local area.

Welcome pack for those staying 1 week or longer. Mid stay clean and change of bedding/ towels available for those staying longer than 1 week. Weekends and shorter booking available September to March unless close to booking dates. Our booking week runs Friday to Friday. We accept one well behaved small dog for a small additional cleaning fee. The dog must stay downstairs in the property.

The kitchen is well equipped including casserole dishes and weighing scales. We enjoy cooking, and we hope you will too! Appliances include a fast induction hob (no gas in the area), toaster, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge freezer. There is also a washing machine - useful for longer stays. (There are plenty of local restaurants and take away's for those who dont want to cook).
The bathroom is downstairs as is common with many properties of this age in the area. There is an additional toilet. The over bath shower is electric but powerful and thermostatically controlled. (so no cold bursts). There is a low height doorway on way to the bathroom and another on the way to the garden.
There are comfy John Lewis sofas and chairs in the main lounge and a coffee table to place the glasses of wine or warming drinks in the winter. Both flat screen TVs have HD free sat smart TV’s. One in the main living room and the other in the main bedroom and attached/in built DVD players. The main TV is a smart TV playing all catch up channels and subscription services for you to log on via your own subscriptions - Netflix, Amazon, now tv, Apple TV, Disney plus etc. There are books, toys, board games, and DVDs - the DVD player plays MP3 files.
Enclosed Norfolk stair case (door at the bottom) and stairgate if required for the top. The staircase is slightly deeper than normal UK standard and May not be suitable for those with mobility problems. The bedrooms both have wardrobes and drawers as well as bedside tables.The beds have luxury Egyptian cotton sheets and large towels. Please bring your own beach and swimming towels. High chair and fireguard in the cottage - travel cot fits in both rooms and available on request. There are some children's toys, cutlery and crockery, potties, toilet seat and step stool.

Parking is readily available outside the cottage on the road. Weber BBQ, table and chairs on large patio in garden. Bicycle storage space for two bikes. (plus childrens bikes) Lock for outside of shed only secure yourselves and at own risk. Children's playground 200 yds down the road. Also tennis courts available. Fishing, horse riding and sailing close by. Excellent area for bird watching.
